I don’t know about everyone else, but I am officially over winter. We are right in the midst of it, still getting snow flurries and constantly dealing with freezing temperatures. I can honestly say it is time for it to go.
The snow is always enjoyable for a day when we might possibly get our classes canceled or we can take those classic pictures in front of Wait Chapel, but now all I really want is the sun. This weather gives me no motivation to do anything and for the start of the first semester, that isn’t something my professors might think is particularly charming.
Spring break is about a month away and I am already fantasizing about it. There is something about coming back to school after winter break and actually having to get back into class that makes it feel even harder than it did before.
Waking up in the morning, trudging through the cold with your backpack, and trying to Tapingo your coffee with enough time to spare is a challenge that we have all faced multiple times.
All I can think about is laying on the beach with the sun on my face, and preferably a nice tan that makes me not feel and look like a ghost in pictures.
It is time for North Carolina to warm up, or I need to go somewhere that is going to make it happen a little faster. It’s only the beginning of February, and spring fever is upon us.
