Spring Fashion, as Told by GIFs

The five little things you should know for spring.

1. The Lauren Conrad braid.

Because what says, "Hello Spring/Summer!" like braids and beach waves? The loosely-braided fishtail is not only a hot and trendy hairstyle to go with any outfit or time of day, but it is also SUPER easy to do!

2. Birkenstocks are taking on a whole new look.

This is no joke ladies, these were actually worn during fashion week. Fur is going to be present this spring for the first time in years. Colored furs at that, and on sandals! Who'da thunk it?

3. Floral, for spring? ...duh.

There is no way that you will be able to walk into any store at the mall and not see florals in the spring. It just will not happen. Not to say that this is a bad thing, at all. Trust me, I've already busted out my black floral cardigan more than once this season. No shame here!

4. And every girl needs a dress she feels comfortable and beautiful in.

Sunny days means sundresses, all the way! They are perfect for the girl who is always in a hurry and in need of something cute and comfy to simply slip on. Strapless sun dresses made from stretchy fabrics are a girl's best friend when the warm weather rolls into town.

5. Lastly, confidence will never go out of style.

No matter what, always remember to leave your house wearing a smile. There is nothing more beautiful on a girl than the presence of happy thoughts literally beaming from her face. When you think happy, you manifest happy things, and therefore will attract more happy people in your life. I have never seen something more beautiful than someone wearing a genuine smile. No matter the fashion trends or socials stresses, one thing that will never go out of style is a young woman with confidence.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
