Just because you're not going on some wild spring break vacation doesn't mean you can't have a good time! Here are 10 things you can do at home to make sure you have one of the best breaks ever.

1. Rearrange/decorate your room at home

While most of us spend a lot of our time at our home away from home, that doesn't mean our actual homes can't be as comfortable as possible. Take the time to make your bedroom your own little oasis.

2. Read a book

How often do we get to read for pleasure instead of reading for a class?

3. Learn to cook or bake

Find an easy recipe you can bring back with you for when you're in a pinch at school.

4. Spend time with family

They have missed you and you'll need their support to get you through the rest of the semester.

5. Find a new hobby

Whether it's knitting, scrap booking, exercising, etc. find something calming and fun you can bring back with you.

6. Start a new exercise regiment

Take your empty week or so to find a great exercise plan that works for you.

7. Have a spa day

Treat yourself and relax, you deserve it!

8. Catch up with old friends

While your other friends are on vacay, no better time than to catch up with your old friends from home.

9. Visit your old teachers

Our high school teaches are the ones who got us where we are today. They molded us and helped us get into our dream schools. Why not pay them a visit and say "thank you"?

10. SLEEP

Every college student NEEDS it. Catch up, take advantage of your down time, restore your body and your mind and get ready for the rest of the semester!

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
