So, it's finally spring break and all of your friends are at the beach or doing something fun while you, on the other hand, aren't going anywhere. But that's okay. Although spring break is the time of the year that everyone makes big plans, you don't always have to. You can have fun and enjoy spring break without going to a beach or to the mountains. Spring break is a perfect time to do numerous things that you haven't had time to do. During this time, you can go on a spontaneous adventure that you have always wanted to go on. During spring break, you can take a break from social media and technology and go camping or hiking. There are a ton of things to do to spice up your spring break although you're staying home.
You can use this time to do some spring-cleaning or organizing. It is the middle of the semester and most people don't have the motivation to dedicate a whole weekend to reorganizing but this could be the perfect time. This is also the perfect time of year to start switching out your winter clothes for spring clothes.
Read that book you have wanted to read. People always buy books they plan on reading but end up never doing it because they get too caught up in everything else. Taking some alone time and going to a coffee shop or park on a nice day could really clear your mind.
Do something you have been wanting to do for a while. Go camping or rent out a cabin for a couple of days. After getting so caught up in schoolwork, sororities/fraternities, and other activities, it is beneficial to go do something relaxing. It doesn't cost too much money to rent a small cabin or pay a tent fee, pack a cooler full of food for the weekend and swim in the lakes and hike the trails for free.
Hang out with other friends that stayed home too. You're guaranteed at least one person didn't leave town either. Go to the mall and go shopping, go get pedicures or go out to eat. You two have a whole week to keep each other company and if you really want to make an impact on someone over spring break, this is the perfect chance to put in some volunteer hours.
