Spring Break Survival Kit

Spring Break 2k15 is right around the corner! Whether you are going to Mexico, Florida or Barcelona, here are some tips to help surviving spring break.

1. Bring one carry on bag.
During this week, all your things are going to be everywhere. If you have multiple bags you could get everything mixed up and forget items. So bring one bag, so you can throw all your items in it in a matter of seconds!

2. A Tanning Package.
About a month before spring break, I would suggest getting a tanning package at your local tanning salon. Tanning in a tanning bed isn't the best thing for your skin. But it helps to develop a base tan, so you do not fry when you get into the sun of your spring break destination.

3. Sunscreen.
Always pack sunscreen! Even if you get a tanning package before hand you will still need to keep your skin protected. I have found that it is the easiest to bring spray sunscreen for easy application.

4. Gatorade.
Gatorade is a go-to hangover cure. Obviously spring break involves drinking, so I would suggest to bring a lot of Gatorade to help rejuvenate you during your hangover.

5. Snacks.
Always pack quick snacks that you can take on the go! When you are ready to go to the beach, the last thing you want to do is have to go to a sit down restaurant. Having snacks makes it easy for you to eat on the go!

6. Your School/Greek Flag.
Bring your Greek and school flags to mark your territory on the beach!

7. Fanny Packs.
For girls, fanny packs are one of the only ways you can have all your belongs with you while your at the beach.

8. Air Mattresses.
Chances are you booked a hotel room for four and 20 people end up crashing in your room. Bringing air mattress alleviates problems so everyone has somewhere to sleep.

9. Quick Microwavable Food.
Most hotel rooms have microwaves, so you can make easy microwavable food. Some nights you will not feel like going out to eat, so bring some microwavable food for a fast and easy dinner.

10. Advil.
Advil, Advil, Advil! Bring as much as you can to help with those hangovers so you can keep going all day!

Don't forget to have fun, Spring Break is all about having fun no matter where you are!

The Battle Between College And My Mental Health

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?

For the average 20-something, life moves pretty fast. You’ve got classes, friends, relationships, jobs, family, and whatever else we overcommit ourselves with. I probably should have learned to say no to adding more to my schedule a long time ago, but instead here are 11 things that can be more helpful than coffee.

Resting b***h face. Defined as a person, usually a girl, who naturally looks mean when her face is expressionless, without meaning to. Many of you suffer from this "condition." You are commonly asked what's wrong, when nothing is. What people don't know is that is just your facial expression. Here are some things they wish you knew.
