Spring Break is finally approaching. Midterms are finishing up, the homework and lectures are about to cease, and you can't wait to finally feel the sweet release of a week long vacation. Maybe you're going away to some tropical spring break destination, in which case I'm super jealous, but if you are just going home for the week to relax and rest up for the end of the semester, 'One Day At A Time' has the perfect moments to describe the most iconic parts of heading to your hometown for Spring Break.

Taking the last midterm before break, you know, the one you definitely didn't study enough for.

Walking out of your final lecture before break.

Arriving at home and immediately handing all your dirty laundry to the closest relative.

Reuniting with your mom.

Trying to plan a meet up with your whole squad and realizing only half of you have the same spring break.

Driving by Grandma's house and she already has your favorite treats ready.

When people have the audacity to ask you school related questions, knowing you are on break.

Picking up a few shifts at work over the week.

Linking up with your best friend after months of not seeing them.

Avoiding people from high school at the grocery store.

Getting your group of friends together again.

Waking up in the morning after getting a somewhat full night of sleep and actually feeling well rested.

Nails done, eyebrows done, hair done.

Realizing you are going to have to return to school on Monday.

How ever wild, relaxing, or messy your spring break is, I hope it is a great one! Also, if you're looking for a great show to watch on Netflix, 'One Day At A Time' is awesome. It's funny (if you didn't already figure that out), but also deals with real issues like PTSD, coming out, and the life of a single parent. With only two seasons with about twelve thirty minute episodes, this show is a perfect spring break binge!

Being a part of any organization undoubtedly comes with the pitfalls of being grouped into negative stereotypes, and sororities are certainly no exception. Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

8. "The whole philanthropy thing isn't real, right?"

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general.
