Campuses are abuzz with chatter about spring break. From cruises to Cabo to California, the excitement around travel plans is contagious. However, if your spring break did not come together as you would have liked this year, do not fret. There is still hope for you.
Everyone knows that having fun on spring break isn't actually what matters, it is having at least one quality insta pic that creates the illusion that you are having fun. More specifically, the most fun.
So, for anyone who fears their spring break is going to be less than desired this year, I offer the following tips and faux-posts to help you trick your social media peers into thinking you actually had a rockin' time.
All of your friends booked their flights and forgot to tell you before they filled up so you wind up back home hanging with your parents. The key is to make people think this is what you wanted. Take a picture acting like you and the folks are all chums and reinforce with cutesy hashtags:
You thought a booze cruise actually sounded like a fun idea so now you are stuck on a rocky boat with a bunch of drunk people. Omit your squinty-eyed friends and focus on the classier-looking beverages. And remember to utilize the location feature for anything except divulging your actual location:
You just realized four out of five of your professors scheduled exams for the Monday after break so you spend it hitting the books at the library. Have someone take a photo of you hard at work and pair with inspirational song quotes that may or may not apply:
Your boss doesn't understand the necessity of college spring break so you didn't get time off and you're spending the week on the clock. Show everyone what a hard worker you are with your desk scene and some gripping hashtags:
And, one you can use no matter where you are to remind everyone else that you are still relevant and high on life, the selfie! Make sure to make a face that says “I'm fun but, like, I don't care:"
