It's almost that time of year again; college spring break. Every college student looks forward to this week from the minute the week is over the previous year. Whether you are looking for an insane week full of fun and memories, or you are more of a chill spring break type, there are destinations all over the country and world that are perfect for all types of college students.

One of the easiest ways to tell who wants to go where on spring break is by looking at people's majors. Through this information, one can generally infer what kind of spring break they would prefer. The week of spring break is the perfect time to catch up on much needed sleep, or not sleep at all. The possibilities are quite literally endless! I asked some of my friends in all kinds of different majors where they would prefer to travel for spring break, and the answers were similar within the majors, but all over the board in general.

If you have not booked anything for spring break yet and are not sure where to go, here is a list of the best places for college students to go on spring break based on their majors.


Engineering - Breckenridge, Colorado

With all of the meticulous work these students do, it only makes sense that they let loose while skiing or snowboarding. Both activities are very fun, while still requiring work and thought. Perfect for engineers!

Business - Las Vegas, Nevada

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Business majors are definitely in the category of crazy spring breakers, so it only makes sense they travel to one of the wildest cities in the world.

Communication - New York City

Communication, PR, advertising and marketing majors are always thinking big, and what's bigger than New York City?! Spending the week exploring the big apple would be like a dream for all you communication related majors out there.

Nursing - South Padre Island, Texas

This fun and vibrant island in Texas is a very underrated spring break destination, and it is the perfect place to unwind and have some much needed fun for all the nursing school students out there!

Psychology - Sedona, Arizona

You can only think about what other people think about for so long. Using spring break to get away from their thoughts and unplugging from life for a bit would be the perfect spring break for psychology students.

STEM Related Majors - Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
