Tan lines, best friends, cold drinks, and sun-kissed cheeks. Everyone loves spring break because it is a much needed mental vacation away from the stress of midterms and mundane routines. It is our first real taste of summer after emerging from the cold winter months. The weather is warm, the pool is sparkling, and all those New Year's resolution bodies come out to strut their stuff.
It doesn’t really matter where you spend your spring break, just that you take advantage of every opportunity to make memories that last forever. After all, spring break is only a week long; and once it’s over, it’s back to five more weeks of studying and other boring adult stuff. So how can you be sure that your spring break is one for the books? Here is your official spring break bucket list.
1. Dance on a bar. Coyote Ugly style.
2. Do tequila shots on the beach. “It’s just tequila and the beach, that’s why it’s salty when we kiss.”
3. See a live show or set. Fan-girling encouraged.
4. Kiss a complete stranger. The best kind of kiss is one that’s unexpected.
5. Eat junk food -- pizza, tacos, potato chips. You will burn it off after this week, right?
6. Go somewhere you have not been before whether it's a new part of town, a new city, or a new country.
7. Go skinny dipping. It’s liberating.
8. Get so dark that people question your ethnicity. Tan lines or nah?
9. Rock a slightly scandalous bikini. If you’ve got it, may as well flaunt it.
10. Sleep in. So you can wake up in the morning feeling like P-Diddy.
11. Buy disposable cameras. Develop the pictures after spring break.
12. Stay up 24 hours straight. Because the most interesting things happen after 3 a.m. anyway.
13. Buy a drink for someone you just met. Because sharing is caring.
14. Grill out by the pool. Make the boys cook while you sip on fruity drinks.
15. Try a new drink recipe. Watermelon mojitos anyone?
16. Go out to a nice dinner. Wash the saltwater and sand off out of your hair and get dressed up for an upscale meal.
17. Ride a mechanical bull and pray you get thrown off in the most graceful way possible.
18. Make some new friends. Even if it is just the people from the restroom line.
19. Remember to be safe, act responsibly, and know your limits so that this spring break will be one that you will look back on for years to come.
