Spring is in the air! Even though some of us are still dealing with the winter weather, here are some spring beauty tips that will have you prepared for the spring and summer months ahead.
I know personally, when it gets hot out, the last thing I want is to do is wear a bunch of heavy products on my face. So, in order to reduce the number of products, I suggest using lipstick (or any colored lip thing) also as a cheek stain. It works wonders and gives off an effortless fresh face vibe.
You can also use Vaseline or Aquaphor for the dewy “glossier look”. Meaning, you could put the Aquaphor or Vaseline on your eyelids, cheekbones, or lip for a dewy glow. Also, another “pro tip/side tip” is that if you are going to splurge on makeup products (since this is a look for less kind of ordeal), make it be on face products.
Save the mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow, and lipstick for the drugstore. Simply because there is a wide variety of skin complexions (obviously), and each has different needs. Sometimes the drugstore can be limited in terms of color ranges compared to a brand like Fenty or Nars.
Also, do your girl a favor, and please exfoliate. Get rid of the dead skin cells, and become more radiant by the day. :) Exfoliating has been proven to directly help in reducing the dark marks, clogged pores, ingrown hairs, and dry skin. Also, aside from helping skin problems exfoliating also increases blood circulation, which in result helps you achieve healthy and glowing skin. I would suggest exfoliating your face and body at around twice a week.
Probably, my favorite beauty tip to tell my friends is that they need to start using their conditioner as shaving cream. Don’t ask me why or how it works, because I really don’t know. All I know is that it works really well. I promise you it will give you the softest and smoothest shave ever.
Personally, Aussie Moist Conditioner is my favorite to use. On the topic of moisturizing/conditioning type stuff…make sure to wear a heavier moisturizer at night, preferably one with vitamins or antioxidants (basically a night cream). Secondly, wear sunscreen all year round.
Your 50-year-old self will thank you. It is fairly easy to find daily moisturizers with SPF (go for one with SPF 30). You can also make your own bb cream buy mixing in a couple drops of concealer in with your daily moisturizer.
My personal favorite is to highlight highlight highlight, it wakes me up from the dead. Woo!
