April marks the 150th anniversary of the ASPCA. This amazing organization has rescued animals everyday from a lifetime of cruelty, violence and pain. Help spread the word this month in honor of your furry family members. Here are 5 tips of how you can get a lot of puppy love and help save the lives of millions of animals who are mistreated daily.

1. Join The Pack!

Take the pledge and celebrate the month in style! The ASPCA’s brand color is orange, so it only makes sense to “go orange” to raise awareness and help promote cat and dog rescue. Of course we think everyone ought to be thinking about preventing cruelty to animals every month, but we’re also into raising awareness any way possible, so we’re going orange in April!

2. Donate

Any donation helps! April marks the 150th anniversary of the ASPCA. This amazing organization has rescued animals everyday from a lifetime of cruelty, violence and pain. Your commitment makes it possible for our life-saving programs to create happy endings for those innocent lives touched by cruelty. Please continue to be there for the ASPCA and the animals we serve.

3. Listen, Learn, and Educate Others

4. Get Up, And Go!

Any spare time you can give is worth it to see one of these animals give you a lick and wag! Go to your local animal shelter and volunteer to walk, play, or foster these loving animals.

5. Make Adoption The Only Option

Put a stop to the puppy stores, and go adopt your newest member of the family and new best friend. You won't regret it. These animals want loving homes and there are plenty of them out there that need your help! ADOPT!!

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
