sports medicine

Sports medicine as a whole what defines it what does it entail its differences between orthopedics and physical medicine and rehabilitation. Why you should visit a sports medicine physician so coming into sports medicine sports medicine. Sports medicine is defined as “branch of medicine that deals with physical fitness and treatment and prevention of injuries related to sports and exercise is what sports medicine”.

So as you see in the definition, it is not encompassing the whole sports medicine as a whole it just gives a part of sports medicine as a subject. There are other definitions out there which states what sports medicine is definitions given by films Royal College of Physicians UK Australasian College of Sports Physicians.

UK intercollegiate board of sports and exercise medicine. So you can see that there are a lot of definitions. For sports medicine and sports medicine is an evolving subject and that's why you see a numerous definitions out there what I can say about sports medicine. For a definition is it is that it's a broad discipline it consists of four parts basically according to me. The first part is the management of medical problems of all exercising individuals at all age levels and at all participation at all levels of participation.

So over here the basically we are talking about all medical problems as well as injuries which can occur due to any form of exercise. As well as due to any medical problems which can occur due to exercises .It is better physiology biomechanics and optimization of human performance. Use of exercise as a therapeutic modern modality in treatment and prevention of disease that is the third definition. And the last definition is promotion of Health and Prevention of disease or injury at a population level.

Now this is one of the most important definitely last lines, which has come out is the evolved part in sports medicine. Usually in sports medicine, the first three you would have heard of but in the fourth part has come up and that's why the definition keeps changing.

Now all these definitions would have confused you and me explaining in detail what each one would have confused me even more. So I'll keep it very simple so sports medicine you can divide into three parts.

• Sub optimal

• Optimal

• Super optimal

Sub optimal

So in which sub optimal is basically where exercise due to exercise you get an injury or exercises used as a part of the disease .

Optimal

As treatment part of their disease optimal is where we maximize your wellness so you are perfectly fine over here. If you want to get better so that is where optimal come is well.

Super optimal

Super optimal is basically comes when you enhance performance. For example you are planning to run a marathon or for an athlete. He wants to enhance himself so that's what is super optimal. So it's quite simple , suboptimal optimum and super optimal. What does sports medicine entail sports medicine consists of orthopedics medicine cardiology pediatrics gynecology. Now you must be wondering why gynecology women's health you're a sexist if you say if you think. Otherwise endocrinology neurology exercise physiology nutrition sports psychology .

You get the gist of it down so it basically contains a lot of subjects and that's why we say that brought sports medicine is a broad discipline. What is the difference between sports medicine and orthopedics orthopedics is basically surgical. Sports medicine is conservative with other petitions. They study orthopedics as a subject by the Sports Medicine study a portion of orthopedics they study physiotherapy they study medicine as I told earlier.

What and all subjects they study it's basically a jack-of-all-trades well but what we do is we specialize in sports and exercise. What's the patient's do deal with sports injuries they treated both conservatively as well as surgically. But what we do is that we enhance return to play and enhance performance what is the difference between sports medicine and PMR. PMR is basically physical medicine and rehabilitation it's a separate course.

So a sports medicine is basically conservative we treat patients conservatively while physical medicine also treat conservatively. But they do certain surgical procedures so you can call them a mixed bag. On their sports medicine to keep it simple. What is for the PMR they basically are suboptimal and optimal which I explained earlier. So they deal with all forms of injuries exercises as a therapy therapeutic model.

As well as for general, enhance wellness so they deal with sub optimal optimal. While sports medicine deals with both suboptimal optimal and super optimal, that is we also deal with the enhancement of performance. We deal with athletes so this is one of the simplest ways to do separate both sports medicine and PMR. There are other differences out there also for PMR sports medicine. These are the differences between all the three so to conclude why we sit sports medicine physician. The first one is that we use exercise as a treatment modality we are conservative. We don't do surgery so if you are a little bit hesitant on surgeries.

Conclusion

We decide whether you require surgery or not and if it is can be treated conservatively we will help you to treat it with excise and get you back to normal. Do your best to play sports or for your regular activity. If you require surgery in certain cases what we do is will refer you to an orthopedic surgeon or to a normal surgeon. Once the surgery is done we get back you into your rehab and we accelerate it and you can return to sports .

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
