Seventeen years and six months ago, Stephen Hillenburg brought forth to us a new show on Nickelodeon like no other, an animated show, created with genres of comedy and fantasy to join generations of cartoon lovers for all eternity.
Now we are faced with ten seasons and two hundred and five episodes about a porous, yellow sponge and his friends. Hoping that SpongeBob or even Patrick so freely spirited and so goofy, can continue to entertain audiences for many more years with their playful shenanigans. We are met on a great struggle to continue that goal. We have come to express our gratitude to Stephen Hillenburg for that energetic and optimistic sea sponge, as a realization that without SpongeBob those who grew up these past years would just think of the words “Goofy Goober” as absurd and meaningless. It is important and necessary for the legacy of SpongeBob SquarePants to live on for future generations.
But in a larger sense, we can not beg, we can not cry, we can not pout if this is not meant to be. The number of episodes, past and present, which many have seen, helped foster a whole generation, to become creative and non-judgmental. The educational specialists might disagree, about the previous statement, but they will never realize that the word “fun” has a double meaning and a song. It is for us the fans, rather, to be devoted and watch SpongeBob reruns whenever possible to honor those who took their time to create such an awesome series. It is necessary for us to be a true fan and support the principals that the show is based on- from these ideas we should increase our knowledge to that of the magic conch shell which has spoken; that we are fans devoted to spreading positive information about SpongeBob — that this pineapple, under the sea, shall represent Bikini Bottom, and that fans of all generations, young and old, shall continue to watch SpongeBob for many years to come.
