How 'Spongebob' Accurately Describes College

Whether you are writing an essay or going home on a break, you can relate to something Spongebob has said before.

We have all seen at least one episode of "SpongeBob," and either loved it or hated it. I for one love it even though I am 20 years old! Believe it or not, SpongeBob is so relatable to college whether it is being called on in class or writing an essay or simply just eating lunch, I'm sure something a SpongeBob character has related to something you have done.

1. Getting called on in class

We all have that one teacher who calls on you whether or not you have your hand raised, especially if they think you are not paying attention. So when you get called on and you don't even know the answer, you just kind of take a guess and hope for the best!

2. Rolling out of bed in sweat pants

We have all had those days where we roll out of bed and go straight to class and you feel like a bum, but you just do not care.

3. When you turn in an assignment late

The look you give your teacher when handing in an assignment late for the first time and you promise them it will never happen and again and that you truly are a good student.

4. When there is nothing to do on campus

This is especially relatable to those who go to a small school where there is nothing to do other than to use your imagination to save yourself from boredom.

5. When you go on breaks

When you go home for break and you are now hours away, maybe even a state away from all your college buddies, you miss them and can't wait to get back!

6. The 8 a.m. lecture

So it is 8 a.m. and you have a lecture, but your teacher talks too much and too fast and it kind of goes in one ear and out the other and kind of sounds like something Patrick would say.

7. Directions are hard

This especially goes out to all the new students and freshman who do not know where anything is on campus, you're looking for a specific class or even a building and one of the upper classmates gives you directions, but you still get lost.

8. All-nighters

It's 2 a.m. and you are still studying for your exam for the next day and you need something sweet, chocolate becomes your best friend.

9. When your mom calls you

When you get your grade back on a test and your mom asks you about it and you do not really know how to respond: heavy breathing.

10. Writing an essay

When you are procrastinating on an assignment and someone asks what you did it on or what you got for an answer, but you haven't started yet and they make a comment about you putting off the assignment so you have to come up with an excuse

11. Home-cooked meals

Dorm food, vending machines and fast food is not the same as a home cooked meal.

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
