Your girls are the people who will always be there for you. Sometimes life gets busy and you can't always make plans but, setting a date in advance can help put the pressure on to actually go! Spend some quality time with your favorite people and take all of the perfect Instagram photos.

Here are 13 ways to catch up on some much-needed girl time.

1. Movie night

Typical, but who doesn't love a good romantic comedy? Movies like "50 First Dates" and "How To Lose a Guy In 10 Days" are classics!

2. Spa day

Pick up a new bottle of your favorite face mask and let the fun begin! Relaxing and taking Snapchats while your face is slathered with some "organic" ingredients from TJMaxx is always a memory to hold dear.

3. Sister sleepover

Reminisce on the good parts of your middle school days and have a sleepover! Make forts with the insane amount of fuzzy blankets you have and decor pillows that end up on your floor. Add some popcorn and chocolate and you are good to go!

4. Make a group dinner

Who needs to go on a fancy date at an expensive restaurant when you can tear it up in the kitchen with your closest friends! Find a recipe you all like and make it to share!

5. Photoshoot

Find the friend with the best camera and pick a cute location! Now is the time to spice up your Instagram feed and make it as aesthetic as you want!

6. Paint and sip

Paint and canvases are available at all craft stores and even shopping centers like Walmart. Check out your craft session and pick your favorite drink to accommodate your time. You could even exchange what you painted as a Galentine's Day gift!

7. Shopping trip

We all love retail therapy! Go ahead, buy the new shoes! Your besties will support your habit, that's their job!

8. Find a new hobby

Local arts centers and gyms always offer a variety of unique classes to try! Maybe cycling is for you after all!

9. Tie blanket making

Head out to your local craft store and buy two yards of two fabrics, then make inch cuts into both pieces of fabric and tie them together! Now you have a piece of your friends with you every night.

10. Candle making

Make a quick Google search to find the store closest to you for this opportunity. Craft your own scent and title it after your besties! Candles are always a great gift.

11. Volunteer

Whether it is at an animal shelter or a long-term care facility, volunteering is always better with your friends. Spend this day showing your love to people (or animals) who need it most.

12. New coffee shops

Run a quick Google search of coffee shops near you and get started! To make it interesting, you could rank them from you personal favorite to least!

13. Vision board making

Pinterest always has the best ideas for vision boards. Enjoy long talks with your besties and figure out what you see in your future! Cut out outfit inspiration for you and your friends and make plans for a future outing!

8 Things I Realized After My First Semester In College

Actually, Kylie Jenner, 2018 is the year of realizing things.

The first semester of college is famous for being one of the most difficult transitions of one's young adult life. You're thrown into a completely new area where the majority of the people surrounding you are strangers in an academic environment that's much more challenging then what you've grown accustomed to for the past twelve years. On top of that, you probably share a room with another person (or even multiple people) on the lumpiest "mattress" you've ever slept on.

With this change comes a lot of questions: what do I want to major in? What am I passionate about? Is what I'm passionate about something I'm actually good at? Why does the bathroom smell like cranberry juice and vodka? What is that thing at the bottom of the shower drain?

6 Unrealistic Expectations Society Has For Young Adults

Don't let the thesaurus-inspired vocabularies in our résumés fool you. We're actually just big kids.

Well over four feet tall and 100 pounds in weight, many of us "young adults" of the world still consider ourselves children. Big, working, college-attending, beer-drinking children. We may live on our own, know how to cook noodles, and occasionally use a planner, but don't be fooled; the youthful tendencies that reside within us still make their way into our daily lives. From choosing to stay up until 3:00 a.m. playing video games on a school night to going out in 30 degree weather without a coat, we still make decisions that our parents and grandparents would shake their heads at in disappointment. So why are we expected to know exactly how to be a wise, professional, sensible adult? It's not that we're irresponsible (for the most part, anyway). It's that we are young, inexperienced, and still have the sought-after, enthusiastic mentality that we can do and be whatever we want, which has not yet been tarnished by the reality of the world. These are just a few of the unrealistic expectations that society has for young adults.
