Well we are going into the last week of undergrad. This is absolutely surreal. And I am absolutely going to live it up. Since there are no classes, I have a ton of free time, and I really want to spend it with my friends. I want to take the time though, in this article, to thank some of the people that have gotten me to this point.

The first person, well people really, I want to thank are my parents. They have been there for me every time something happened, good or bad. They allowed me to figure things out for myself and I really appreciate that. As I continue my life, I know that I can count on them for anything. They are the best parents in the world. I love you guys from the bottom of my heart.

The next group of people that I would like to thank is my friends. They have done so much for me. I really don’t know where I would be without them. They have shaped who and I am and who I am going to be in the future. I know they will always have my back, no matter what.

Next on the list is my fraternity, Phi Kappa Sigma, Delta Rho chapter. These guys have been my family on campus since I joined. We are more than a bunch of guys on campus wearing letters, we are brothers. Thank you guys for everything you have done for me in the last few years, it means a ton. I trust in the future our chapter, and it will flourish and be great. Stellis Aequus Durando.

I also really want to thank all the teachers and professors that have helped me over the years. Seriously, kudos to you guys. You probably have the toughest job of anyone I know. Yet, all of you have pushed me to be better than I currently am. That is why I am graduating college. A special shout out to the staff at Freehold Township High School, you guys rock. Another shout out goes to the media and communications department at Ursinus College, the philosophy department and the psychology department. You all have fostered my inner learner and I am eternally grateful for that.

The final person that I would like to thank is my girlfriend, Sam. She has been there with me through thick and thin at UC and she has been a rock for me. I can’t say enough about her. She was there during the mental breakdown that every college student has, as well as the great times. We met as freshman and have been dating ever since. I appreciate my time with her and I know that she will be doing something truly great in the future. I am eternally grateful to her for her love and support these four years, I don’t think I could have done it without you.

If I didn’t give you a special shout out, I am sorry. I wish I could give everyone a little something, alas there is only so much space. But know that you have helped me along the way and I want to thank you for that.

With that, that is a wrap for me. I will be leaving Ursinus and moving on to bigger and better things. Thank you UC for everything you have given to me, I l will always love and cherish it. Congratulations class 2017, we did it!

Being a part of any organization undoubtedly comes with the pitfalls of being grouped into negative stereotypes, and sororities are certainly no exception. Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

8. "The whole philanthropy thing isn't real, right?"

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.
