A Letter to A Special Person in my Life

DearA,

Thank you for being a part of my life. I am so thankful for all that you do and I am not sure even where to begin! Thank you for being someone I can talk to about anything, and I literally mean anything. I love how you are non-judgmental and always there to listen. I remember all those times you were there from me when I was stressing over an exam or trying to discover my own identity. You always shine a light into my darkest hours. With you, I found another meaning in seeing the beauty in this flawed society. Also, I realize how much I have grown to learn about myself.

Thank you for going shopping, watching movies, and being my city adventurer buddy. I love how I have become a foodie and more into fashion because of you. I love how you help me look for my coconut water in the city. How you suggest to go to the small market place in Little Tokyo to buy snacks. How we go grocery shopping together. How you take me out for food and look for more places to explore. I am extremely grateful for how you try to include me in your life. Even though we have misunderstandings and little bickers here and there, I am glad we are glad to compromise and still love one another.

Over the summer, I remember in the beginning how I lie awake and miss you as we're million miles apart. I love those skype sessions as every time we talked I felt bubbly and happy. For my short visit to Taiwan, thank you for always being there for me, taking me to explore more places. You are an amazing and caring tour guide.

Since I am used to having set plans, I was scared to leave that comfort zone; however, now I love how with you the following days are full of unknowns that we can concur together. I am lucky to have you in my life and words cannot describe how much you mean to me.

Cheers to falling in love with you everyday for the past 365 days and more..

Love, L

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
