8 Ways to Make Your Mom Feel Special on Mothers Day

8 ways to make your mom feel extra special on mothers day

32

Every year we have a day where we do the impossible to show all the love and gratitude we have for our mothers day wishes greeting ideas for 2019. And although it should be celebrated every day, we know that this coming Sunday you will put all your dedication and we have some ideas to make your mom feel more special than ever.

Let her sleep:

When was the last time your mom had time to sleep in? Probably neither can she remember it. On mothers' day, tell her to rest as much as she wants and forget about her morning chores. Meanwhile, the rest of the family can take care of preparing their favorite breakfast, buy a nice bouquet of flowers, and make a banner that says "We love you mom!".

Do the chores of the house (without being asked):

Do not wait for your mom to start picking up dishes from the table or washing clothes. Go ahead to your usual tasks and surprise her by doing them for her. An extra tip: plan some activity for her to do while you take care of fixing the house, like going shopping or taking a nap. All mothers deserve a break from home, and this is a good day to start (because helping her should be something you should do often, not just mothers' day!).

Organize a family picnic:

Ask the whole family to get involved in this activity and go to a picnic celebrating Mother's Day. Some options to take? Sandwiches, a cheese board, and green apples with honey are a good idea. Place all the dishes and food in a basket, and do not forget the drinks!

Give him a picture with the whole family:

And make sure that the photo you include is the most memorable: with your children, grandchildren, and pets if you have them. Or print your favorite instagram photo of it. Buy a frame that you can place in the living room or in the hall so that every day you remember the beautiful family you have.

Do not buy a generic card, better do it yourself:

Just like when you were a kid, make the messages for mothers day card yourself. Try to create a design that expresses your feelings and love towards her. And if you do not feel very creative, you can write in the message your devotion and gratitude for everything that only your mom has done for you.

Give her a spa day:

What mom does not like mimes? We doubt the one that answers no to this question. Invite her to the beauty salon to get a manicure, or you can make yourself a spa at home: give her a massage, get her favorite products, aromatic candles, relaxing salts, and prepare the bath so she feels more pampered than ever.

Learn to make your favorite recipe:

Ask mom to teach you how to cook her favorite recipe. Not only will you be flattered with this detail, you will also feel that you share a true mother-child moment. Tell her to explain how to prepare it while she relaxes and enjoys this day with her family.

Get tickets for a show

Your mother or your children's mother loves a band that will play in the city, have a play that she wants to go to or a film that is about to premiere in the cinema? Now is the time to get a couple of tickets and go out for a night to do something together and know that she will enjoy it to the fullest.

One of the best gifts you can give your mom on this day: leave no evidence that you planned her gift at the last minute. Plan the mother's day in advance so that you have enough time to buy the gift you had planned or organize any of these suggestions.

And do not forget to tell him how much you love her!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
