Today, do we still truly speak with your hearts?
What does it mean to truly speak with your heart?
For me, when we speak with our hearts we are letting our feelings show. That we are letting ourselves be vulnerable enough, to be honest. The other day I was reading a book where the character stated that “When you ask me how my day is, do you truly care?’
And it made me think of how when we ask others; “how was their day?’ or “how are you doing?” it has become more of a routine rather than a with truth or feeling.
What does it mean to truly speak with your heart?
Sometimes it can be as easy as listening rather than speaking. Inquiring with curiosity rather than with animosity. To speak with your heart and love can sometimes be done without speaking that much at all. Rather it can be the act of giving a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on or a kind word?
What does it mean to truly speak with your heart?
Does it mean to let your feeling show?
To speak without hesitation?
To ask questions with care, rather than disregard?
As Mother Teresa said, “Kind words can be short and easy to speak but their echoes are truly endless”.
