My Soulmate Will Be The Man I Marry, But I Already Found My Soul Friend

A soul friend is someone that has the "same interests, beliefs, sense of humor, and values" as you do.

Urban Dictionary defines "soulmate" as the one person who knows you better than anyone else. It's someone who inspires you to be a better person. It's the one person who knows you and accepts you as you are and believes in you. No matter what happens, you'll always love them.

Most people believe they have a soulmate. Others don't. I know that I will find my soulmate in a future husband one day.

However, I have already found something different in my best friend, Tiffany.

She is my soul friend.

You can have a soul friend that has the "same interests, beliefs, sense of humor, and values."

There are a few ways to know your soul friend when you find them, I found out on HuffPost and Personal Tao. I want to show you how Tiffany is my soul friend.

The article on HuffPost states that a soulmate is "someone you have been comfortable with since day one" and "you may have known each other for years, but you suddenly find yourselves ready for love at the same time."

Tiffany and I have gone to the same church since we were kids. We have always been friends but one day we just mutually decided to become close friends.

Dr. Carmen Harra was quoted, telling HuffPost that "One may finish the other's sentences, they may pick up the phone to call each other simultaneously, or feel like they simply can't be without their partner" — partner in crime for me.

This past weekend was the first weekend in awhile that Tiffany and I didn't hang out. And we both texted each other the other night saying how we felt lost because it was weird not hanging out.

Personal Tao says that a soulmate is a person that inspires you to improve yourself. So, because of Tiffany I now do my nails more frequently than I used to. I used to be the girl that only did her toenails when the summer started and only did her fingernails when something eventful happened. Now, I get my nails done almost bi-weekly… Although, I am not sure on the money-side if this improves my life. (ha!)

But, Tiffany also has made me more social in a way. I didn't hang out every weekend like I do now before we became close.

Her family has also pretty much adopted me into their family. Her sister hugs me every time she sees me and asks when I am coming over. Her dad gives me fatherly advice. Her mom gives me life advice. They also don't hardly bat an eye when I show up Sunday after church for lunch. It's a tradition. It's family.

A soul friend is someone that every person needs. Someone you can tell anything to and they won't judge you. Someone that you can be brutally honest with and you know that they know you are doing it out of love. Someone you can have fun with but also be serious with.

Do you have a soul friend?

No Matter How Challenging School Gets, You Have To Put Your Health First — A Degree Won't Mean Anything If You're Dead

Some of the best advice I've ever received was from my social studies teacher in sophomore year of high school. He stated, "If you don't know it at midnight, you're not going to know it for the 8 a.m. exam, so get some sleep."

It's such a simple piece of advice, but it holds so much accuracy and it's something that the majority of college students need to hear and listen to. "All-nighters" are a commonality on college campuses in order to cram in studying for an exam that is typically the next day.

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!
