My purpose in this world is to lead souls to Jesus. I’m going to start doing something a little differently with my articles, and while I might just start making multiple articles a week, my main weekly article is going to be titled “Soul Purpose”. I can’t say I even came up with this name, because my brother did. He’s clever like that. I want to start writing about how Christians can start living a life with a soul purpose.
This week I want to discuss how we should be living an impactful life. If you think about it, how many people would you say you have an impact on their life? It can be family, friends, or just people in your community. What roles do you play in your life that have an effect on someone else’s life? I just recently moved down south to go to school and football is a way of life here. I’ve picked up on a few little lingos they use when describing players, and one of the names that they call a player that will most likely have the most influence on a game is called the impact player. Basically this player has the power to impact the outcome of the game, that’s a lot of influence and power. Just like the football player who has enough power to sway the outcome of a game, you too have power in some people’s lives to be impactful. It’s how you choose to use that impact that determines if you are living an impactful life or not. Do you choose to use the influence God has given you to further His kingdom? Or do you feel like you don’t want to rock the boat, you don’t want to upset anyone, and you don’t want people to think you’re weird. As a result, instead of doing something you’ll just stay lukewarm and not do what God has called you to do, but not do anything wrong either. Do you like having influence in people’s lives? Do you value your friendships so much that you won’t discuss God because you don’t want to lose those friendships? When you chose to use every day as a day that you can impact someone for God you will start living with a Soul Purpose, and you will start living an impactful life.
PRAYER: Pray this week that God puts strength and guidance in your heart to be able to be the most impactful person you can be to those around you.
DARE: Use your powerful influence at least one time this week to impact someone’s life for Jesus. Invite someone to church, volunteer at a shelter, talk to a friend about God, whatever opportunity arises, go for it.
