Growing up as a girl, we have a group of certain expectations that loom over our head from the day that we are born. We are expected to look a certain way, act a certain way, all while following the stereotypes of being a perfect teenage girl. In this age, we are swarmed by images of women with the smallest waist, perfect body, flawless skin, and great clothes.
We go onto instagram and see models posing in bathing suits in Bali, and sipping on cappuccinos in New York. How do they do all these things and manage to remain perfect? I know when I go on vacation I don’t opt for the salad. Yes, some people are a Size 00. But I'm not one of them.
So all I really have to say is, sorry I’m not a double zero. I am sorry that I love eating, and also live a busy lifestyle where I cannot work out for three hours a day. I go to the gym when I can, but I also have school, a job, homework, and a life. I choose to live before I worry about fitting into a double zero. I might be a four, but I don’t miss out.
