I don't know about you, but I have personally found that all the hyped up stereotypes about Greek life (especially sororities) that we see in movies, on TV and all over social media are completely and totally true. I mean, they clearly have no bias or hyperbolic nature to them whatsoever. Nope, they are wholly founded on truth. OH and don't forget: because some girls within Greek life act a certain way, that means ALL sorority girls do, too. Duh.

1. We always wear makeup and look just as put together as we do during recruitment week. ALWAYS.

2. T-shirts really just aren’t a big thing in the Greek community.

3. Totes adorbs is obvi the most perf and presh saying EVER.

4. We absolutely do NOT believe in Pinterest or making crafts.

5. We really don’t like to take pictures.

6. We are all Barbie clones (we don’t at all range from musical gurus to intramural super studs to nerd herds to ridiculously creative artists...).

7. All of us just LIVE to party.

8. None of us really like animals.

9. We are all pretty selfish and don't really care about helping anyone else.

10. All we do is sit around and watch “The Bachelor.”

Oh, and we have pillow fights in our pajamas every night.

11. We are only friends with people in our chapter.

12. Greek life completely ruins your faith.

13. Only a few of us can even spell "academics."

14. We are all princesses who clearly don't know the definition of work.

15. We are all constantly worried about weight and dieting, so we never eat junk food.

So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.
