Sorority Recruitment As Told By Bachelor Contestants

During recruitment, we're just as crazy as these girls.

Sorority Recruitment As Told By Bachelor Contestants

Girls around the country just spent the past few weeks primped, anxious, and sleep deprived while they went through sorority recruitment. While this has been going on, we have also watched various girls on Nick's season of "The Bachelor" make fools of themselves.

Unfortunately, sometimes we can become a little like dolphin girl or crazy Corinne. So here's to all the new sorority sisters and our favorite (and least favorite) ladies from the Bachelor.

Walking into a room filled with drop dead gorgeous girls.

My confidence was high until I was escorted into a beautiful house filled with 100 of the most beautiful girls.

"Tell me why you think you should be in our sorority."

Without trying to sound like a total diva, I'm just awesome.

Trying to come off as confident, not cocky.

There's a very fine line when it comes to talking about yourself. Step over it and you've fallen into deep water.

When you get a compliment on your outfit.

Thank God someone noticed the hours I spent putting together this look.

Hours upon hours of forced conversation with strangers.

Hi, I'm (insert name here), I'm a business major, I'm from New Jersey, and yes, I know your philanthropy.

Trying to come off as unique when your really just a basic bitch.

The constant struggle of making uninteresting facts about yourself sound magnificent.

When you discover which sorority is meant to be your home.

Sometimes you might walk into a house scared for your life, but sometimes you'll fall in love.

Running out of conversation during the first few rounds.

Having the same conversation with a dozen people in one day will get boring, so we gotta spice it up.

When you thought you bonded with some sisters at a house but they cut you.

I'm sorry, but anyone who didn't receive a rose, must collect there things and leave the house. Say your goodbyes.

Watching emotional philanthropy videos.

I spent hours getting ready and I'm not going to let dying puppies and sick children ruin it... okay well maybe a little.

Staying up all night to talk to your friends about the good, the bad, and the ugly.

No, I'm not gonna let my friends sway my opinion on houses... but I'm going to seriously consider their opinions.

When you get invited back to your top houses for pref night.

Heck yes! All that makeup and practicing my smile paid off!

Waking up on bid day.

This could be the best or worst day of your life so you just have to let go.

After getting a bid to your favorite sorority!

Here come the high pitched screams and obnoxious snapchat stories!

Finding out your somebody's rush crush.

This is better than finding out the hottie football player wanted your number to ask for the answers to the homework.

Realizing you're about to be a part of an amazing group of girls.

Can life really get any better than this?

10 Signs You Work In A Restaurant

There's always chaos in the restaurant business.

10 Signs You Work In A Restaurant
Brisanis

Working in the restaurant industry is possibly the most fundamentally challenging occupation I have ever experienced when it comes to hospitality and customer service. When you go to a five-star restaurant you expect the time of your life, a two hour getaway, a walk through another time period (rustic Italy, France, Spain, etc), or simply a honeymoon undergo. What you don't see are the behind the scenes scut work: carrying trays, polishing glassware and silverware, kitchen chaos, the list is endless. Now, I'm not saying being a host, server, or bartender is the worst thing in the whole wide world, there are definitely worse things. But the fact of the matter is that it isn't always sunshine and rainbows. In the two years that I have spent in restaurant and customer service, I have spoken my share of expletives, yelled at kitchen staff, and dealt with not-so-happy guests. It isn't easy to keep a bright and shiny smile on your face when all you want to do is choke every person who walks near you. Anyone who has spent even two weeks working in a restaurant understands the rigor and stress that comes with it. Restaurant culture is a tiny world in and of itself that operates on its own principles and creates its own society. It even has its own language. The sayings "runner", "corner", and "on a bus" wouldn't make sense to anyone otherwise. My mother and I both work in a restaurant and the best advice I can give someone going out to eat is to treat us like people. Yes...believe it or not we are people, people. Say "please" and "thank you", or stack your cleared plates before a busser gets to the table. Trust me, the gesture goes a lot farther than you may think.

So, if you work in a restaurant, you can relate with the following points. If not, check out how the brain of a restaurant service (or any customer service) worker actually works. See if you can identify any crazy weird habits your friends have a tendency to partake in.

One of the scariest things we will ever face in our life is going to college. Many of us move away to a new town, join new organizations, and make new friends. We are expected to study, have a social life, relationships, maybe work, and be healthy. It seems pretty easy to do, and in high school all we wanted to do was graduate and move on to this next chapter of our lives. If you are in high school, here are some things that you can learn from before you get to college. If you have already been through your freshman year of college, hopefully you can relate to the things I have learned in college.
