With recruitment consuming the lives of many current and future sorority women, let's take a break and examine sorority life through the eyes of our favorite "Shameless" badass, the one and only Lip Gallagher.

1. Trying to impress your favorite your sorority during rush

"What could you bring to this chapter?" *lists a million leadership positions and service projects*

2. When new apparel is up for you to choose from.

My bank account says no... but I should buy everything in case there isn't a reorder.

3. When you realize during chapter that you forgot your big's twin's little's birthday.

Is it too late to throw a surprise party?

4. Trying to sneak out of recruitment workshops.

No one will notice if I leave for the bathroom and never come back.

5. Messing with your little before reveal.

"Can I have three hints?"

"I have blonde hair, brown hair, and red hair."

6. Going to socials with your sisters.

Meanwhile, all of the frat boys stare awkwardly at you from across the room.

7. How you feel after going over chapter bylaws.

And then you start wishing you were in a fraternity where rules seem to be non-existent.

8. Trying to look cute with your sisters.

Think this one is good enough for insta?

9. Trying to console a sister who regrets her one night stand.

It's really not as bad as it seems.

10. When you realize how much your philanthropy actually means to you.

Realizing the importance of your philanthropic work is so refreshing.

11. When you're told to dress nice for chapter or any other event.

Because this is what you wish you were wearing instead.

12. Trying to impress your advisor.

We're really taking this chapter in a great direction!

13. Apologizing for that too crazy Snapchat.

Maybe one day we'll be thankful for sororities that keep our social media clean.

These conversations always end up being the most memorable.

15. Knowing that no matter what, you'll always be there for each other.

As crazy as sorority life can be, you really do meet some incredible people who will always be there for you.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
