Girl dating season is upon us here at the University of Delaware. You can’t go into any of the local coffee shops or popular lunch spots without seeing a girl date. For those of you who are confused about girl dating, it’s the process that sororities use to match big and little pairs. It’s almost like speed dating but more fun!

Michael Scott and the rest of The Office crew sum up what girl dating is like.

Trying to describe yourself on one Google Slide while trying to look cute and trendy without sounding like the weirdo that you really are

When you're looking through potential little's slides and you want to hang out with all 80 of them

Creepily messaging girls and asking them to hang out

When you schedule dates with some of the girls and realize you've completely overbooked yourself and have four dates in one day

That nervous feeling waiting for the girl to show up and hoping that she likes you

Giving yourself a pep talk to boost your self-esteem

Seeing the girl you're meeting walk through the door and you hope she recognizes you

When you start talking to a girl and click instantly and you already love her but try to stay low key

When you're brain stops working and you can't think of anything to say next but start talking anyway

When you're talking to one of your friends and she says she likes the same girl you do

When you think you've found the girl you want to be your little

After you've gone on all the girl dates and look at your bank account after having lunch and coffee out twice a day for a week

All of the craziness is worth it when you finally get your little!

To sum it up, basically girl dating is when a girl in a sorority asks a new girl in the sorority, whom they've probably never talked to before, to hang out with them, or vice versa. Some girls go on ten or more dates all in search of finding their potential little! It's okay if you still don't understand girl dating or why it exists.

Being a part of any organization undoubtedly comes with the pitfalls of being grouped into negative stereotypes, and sororities are certainly no exception. Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

8. "The whole philanthropy thing isn't real, right?"

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.
