Unless you live under a rock, chances are you know who Taylor Swift is. She's on the radio, she's in the magazines, she's on the TV. This is not just about the "Kimye" catastrophe that just recently surfaced. No, this is bigger. This is not because she dated every hot guy in Hollywood (including Harry Styles, the love of my life). Nope, still bigger. She has been dubbed "America's Sweetheart", but if I'm being honest, I'm not buying it...
I'm over her.
As I mentioned above, her dating roster is not just impressive, but long... veeerrrryyy long. And I'm not knocking the girl for getting guys. That's not it. My issue with her is this; she dates a guy for like two minutes and then continues to get into a studio and whine on the microphone. Joe Jonas, Jake Gyllenhaal, John Mayer, Harry Styles and more have been victim to her borderline "middle school girl diary like" lyrics. The list goes on and on and on. She is known for not only writing albums about exes, but publicly calling them out. Adele writes about her love experiences, but she doesn't mock her ex lovers on stage. She doesn't bash them publicly. Look, everyone gets their heartbroken and heartbreak hurts. But, don't you think that someone who is supposed to be a role model to girls all over the world should have a little more class? I mean, come on Taylor. You're 26 years old ... Let's start acting like it.
She may be "America's Sweetheart," but I also think she would like to be "America's Biggest Victim." Nothing she does it never wrong. In relationships, its always the boy's fault, but never hers. In celebrity feuds, it is always the other starlet's fault, but never hers. Alright, I'll give it to her ... Kayne was rude when he went on stage and told her Beyonce was better. But, what about the "Famous" scandal? She flat out said that she supported him using her in the lyrics and that it was funny. But when the song came out and other people were appalled, she quickly backtracked and acted offended to once again be the victim. Are we seeing the pattern here?
She claims to be a woman that she wants young girls to look up to. But, in my opinion, Taylor needs to ask herself what exactly she is teaching these girls. When you break up with a guy, resort to immature middle school behavior? When you get into fights, its ok to lie and avoid all responsibility in order to appear the damsel in distress?
Taylor, you can change your hair, your boyfriend, and even the music genre you sing all you want. I don't care ... I'm so over you and we are never ever ever getting back together.
