Dear Future Husband...

Hey! How are you?

Dear Future Husband,

I hope this letter finds you in good hands wherever you are. I hope you are having a wonderful life but it's okay if you aren't. It will get better soon. Just like any other girl, I think about you all the time. I wonder if you are at school, if you are in college or if you are out in the workplace. Not that it really matters as long as you make your way to me eventually.

I pray for you all the time. I pray that you have a fantastic day or that whatever pain you feel is abandoned. I pray that your life goes exactly the way God planned it so that our paths will cross. Perhaps we already know each other. Maybe we have exchanged only eye contact or maybe we have had lengthy conversations already. It is possible that I know or know of you. It is also very possible that I have never heard you name before in my life.

I hope that you family is doing well. I wonder if you have any siblings and if you are close to them. I pray that your father is a great, strong man of God and that your mother is a fantastic lady that will be a wonderful mother-in-law.

I am warning you now, I am a handful. I will continue to be a handful forever. I'm sure this will be one of the many things you love about me. I will be thanking you in the future for putting up with me, just you wait.

I love laughing. I really, really love laughing. You are probably funny but maybe not. That would be fine too, but I really love to laugh. Also, I love music and politics and rose gold and sushi. I hope you also like sushi because that's where I will want to go for our anniversary dinner. Or we could get pizza. Pizza is fine, too.

I want to be the president of the United States one day so I hope you are ready for that journey. I might change my mind though so don't worry. Also, don't be frightened by my endless musical references and bad puns. They just come with me.

I can't wait to find out how in love with Jesus you are. I also am so excited that you will probably like dogs because 74 percent of people do. I hope you are willing to sweep cooked rice up off the floor if we ever have it for dinner because I really hate doing it.

Please be respectful to authority and your elders.

Also, you should know that I eat cupcakes from the bottom, up. Yes, I eat the cake first and then get the icing (I don't say frosting but you can if you want) all over my hands. Yes, it's a mess. Yes, I will continue to do this forever. Yes, I will make you do it at least four times. Why four? Because that's just how many times I felt like saying you had to try it.

Honestly, I already love you so much. I have no idea how this is possible since I do not even know who you are. I think it's just my heart knowing that you are out there somewhere and it's saving a bunch of love for you. Thanks for being wonderful! Have a great time in life until we are married!

With all my love and compassion,

Tori <3

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails..."

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
