A Sonnet to Warm Your Heart

or Here's Enough Sap to Make a Bottle of Syrup.

A Sonnet to Warm Your Heart

Yes, I know Valentine's Day is over, but love is timeless. So in the spirit of romance, here's a sappy sonnet I wrote. Enjoy!

Sonetto

When in the woods my ears hear something sweet

I look yonder and lo! A flowing brook.

My heart grows twice in thoughts of true love’s heat

As tow’rds I walk to gain a better’d look.

In mind so sure I come to understand

From Heav’n pours these waters unto earth.

And giving life to all who dwell this land

This brook exudes a charm of awe and mirth.

So soon the world around me fades away

As from the clasps of stupor do I slip.

But joyous thoughts of nature’s boon still lay

In conscious bed of mind and merry lip.

The day so forth I take with open arms

As thoughts of you my heart it surely warms.

Whether you have a significant other or you're a single pringle, you are loved and you are special. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Stay you. Stay true. Stay awesome.

That's all the sap I've got.

Until next time!
