Those who struggle with depression and/or anxiety know how exhausting it can be. Sometimes you're feeling greater than you have in a long time, but out of nowhere it comes creeping up and makes you forget how to function. In my darkest days, I like to remember that I can conquer anything with the love of God by my side. I encourage adding each of these songs to your playlist for your darkest days!

1. "Whom Shall I Fear" - Chris Tomlin

"I know who goes before me, I know who stands behind, the God of angel armies, is always by my side." A good reminder that with God, nothing is impossible.

2. "Forgiven" - Crowder

"God, I fall down to my knees, with a hammer in my hand. You look at me, arms open. Forgiven, forgiven. Child there is freedom from all of it. Say goodbye to every sin, you are forgiven." That's one of the greatest things about God being my best friend. No matter what has happened in the past, he has forgiven me.

3. "Cry Out To Jesus" - Third Day

"There is hope for the hopeless, rest for the weary, and love for the broken hearts. There is grace and forgiveness, mercy and healing. He'll meet you wherever you are." Whenever you feel like you're struggling, just remember that there's always someone you can trust.

4. "Chain Breaker" - Zach Willliams

"If you've got pain, he's a pain taker. If you feel lost, he's a way maker. If you need freedom or saving, he's a prison-shaking savior. If you've got chains, he's a chain breaker." He always has your back. He can show you the way, even when you don't realize there is a way to be shown. Have a little faith.

5. Priceless - For King & Country

"I see you dressed in white, every wrong made right, I see a rose in bloom, at the sight of you, oh, so priceless." Just remember that there is a bright future ahead of you and he doesn't give you more than you can handle.

6. Just Be Held - Casting Crowns

"So when you're on your knees and answers seem so far away, you're not alone, stop holding on, and just be held." It's okay to fall apart sometimes, don't feel ashamed.

7. "Sparrow" - Jason Gray

"You may feel alone, but you're not on your own. If he can hold the world, he can hold this moment. Not a field nor flower escapes his notice. Oh, even the sparrow knows. He holds tomorrow." He has held things so much bigger than your own, so don't be afraid to let him take the wheel.

8. "Tell Your Heart to Beat Again" - Danny Gokey

"Yesterday's a closing door, you don't live there anymore. Say goodbye to where you've been, and tell your heart to beat again." You can't change what happened, but you can decide what you do with it.

9. "Flawless" - MercyMe

"No matter the bumps, no matter the bruises, no matter the scars, still the truth is, the cross has made, the cross has made you flawless." Jesus gave up everything for us, because of him, we are flawless. In his eyes, we are flawless. Don't ever feel like you're not enough, because to him, you are.

10. "You are Loved" - Stars Go Dim

"If your heart's in a thousand pieces, if you're lost and you're far from reason, just look up; know you are loved." No matter what, you are always loved, and that's astounding.

11. "Live Like You're Loved" - Hawk Nelson

"So, go ahead and live like you're loved. It's okay to act like you've been set free. His love as made you more than enough. So go ahead and be who he made you to be." Live like you're loved, because the thing is, you are, always.

12. "Our God" - Chris Tomlin

"Our God is greater, our God is stronger. God, you are higher than any other. Our God is healer, awesome in power, our God." Our God is greater than any struggles that stand in our way. With him we can overcome anything.

13. "I Need a Miracle" - Third Day

"In your hour of desperation, know you're not the only one, praying Lord above, I need a miracle." This song is especially great, because it is based on a true story. A boy received a miracle one day when he heard the song, previously mentioned, "Cry Out To Jesus", by Third Day, as he was about to commit suicide, and decided to his life around. Never doubt the strength of a prayer.

14. "Never Been a Moment" - Micah Tyler

"There's never been a moment, I was not held inside your arms. There's never been a day when You were not who you say you are. Yours forever, it don't matter, what I'm walking through. 'Cause no matter where I'm going, there's never been a moment, that I was not loved by you." No matter what is going on in your world, you are in his, and he loves you.

15. "Eye of the Storm" - Ryan Stevenson

"In the eye of the storm, you remain in control. In the middle of the war, You guard my soul. You alone are the anchor, when my sails are torn. Your love surrounds me, in the eye of the storm." When the whole world seems to be falling apart, he is the one that can hold you together.

"Every mountain, every valley, through each heartache you will see, every moment brings you closer to who you were meant to be." I can't go back and tell my younger self the things I know now, but I can keep them with me through the future He holds for me.

No matter what I've gone through, he's been my God through it all. The only one who truly knows and understand what I'm going through.

"He's making diamonds, diamonds, diamonds out of dust. He is refining, in his timing, He's making diamonds out of us." He can take something so simple and turn it into something extraordinary. Let him make a diamond out of you.

When did I forget that You've always been the King of the world?" Don't expect to do anything on your own. This is His world. It's okay to ask him for a little help.
