Sometimes life just sucks. Sometimes you feel worthless and dirty and just invisible. Sometimes it feels like God isn’t there, that He doesn’t care, and you might even start to doubt if He’s real.

Everyone goes through these moments. Everyone sometimes feels sad, angry, upset, and that’s okay. In those moments of hurt and doubt, these songs have helped me feel better, lighter, and strengthen my faith. Even if I can’t feel Jesus at this moment, He is there and He does care.

Even when I feel dirty or ugly in my eyes, in the eyes of God I am priceless. When I feel worthless, I remember that I matter to the Savior of the world. He died for ME and that no matter what I do or say He will always love me. Music is a way to praise Jesus and show our love to him and to feel his love for us. As Psalm 101:1 says “I will sing of your love and justice; to you, LORD, I will sing praise."

1. Shoulders by For King & Country

This song is perfect for those days where the work is piling up, and I feel like I can't deal with anything. I listen to it and feel calm and empowered through God. Knowing that when I'm down, He will pick me up and when I'm weak He will give me strength.

2. Priceless by For King & Country

This song is perfect for everyone to remember they are priceless in God's eyes. Not only that, but this song represents For King & Country's movement "The Priceless Movement." The main aspect is knowing that women are priceless and should be treated as so.

3. He Knows My Name by Francesca Battistelli

If you are ever struggling with the thought that Jesus doesn't know you and if you ever feel you are invisible to Him and/or the world this song is for you. This is one of many songs on this list to remind you how important and loved you are by Jesus.

4. Never Beyond Repair by Everfound

This song is great to help you remember that even if you do the unthinkable or feel that you are so broken you will never be whole again, you are never beyond repair if you believe in Jesus.

5. You Are More By Tenth Avenue North

This song is for those times when you feel you are only as good as your bad choices and actions. You are so much more than your actions, especially to Jesus.

6. We Believe by Newsboys

This is an uplifting song that is so helpful to listen to if you are just feeling down and doubtful in what you believe.

7. Dare to Believe by Colton Dixon

This song is to help strengthen you in knowing what you believe and standing up for what you believe. Also, it helps you not to be afraid to let the world know that you do believe in Jesus. Nobody can take away your relationship with Jesus.

8. Through It All by Colton Dixon

Jesus is with us through every single thing going on in our life. Even if He feels far away, He is closer than you could ever imagine.

9. Does Anybody Hear Her by Casting Crowns

This song is for when you feel like you are drowning in bad decisions and nobody can hear your cries for help or maybe they can and just don't care. Just know that Jesus always can hear you and is always cheering for you and will always be there for you.

10. Proof of Your Love by For King & Country

This song lifts me up spiritually and warms my heart with the knowledge of just how much Jesus loves me. It also tells us to be like Jesus, love like Jesus, and go out and be like Him.

11. How Can It Be by Lauren Daigle

This song is one that I can relate to 100%. So many times I have felt dirty, that I'm not worthy of Jesus' love and sacrifice for me. God could never love me, so I push myself away from him. This song always helps remind me that, yes I'm not worthy of Jesus' sacrifices, but He loves me anyway. I should run to him with my shame and guilt and pain and never turn away.

12. You Make Me Brave by Amanda Cook & Bethel Music

When the world gets you down in the dumps, let this song help lift you up and realize that with Jesus you can be brave!

13. Never Too Far Gone by Jordan Feliz

No matter what, you have not strayed too far from God.

14. Even If by MercyMe

This song always gets me emotional. I have to believe that everything happens for a reason and even in times of doubt or sorrow, I will trust in and follow Jesus.

15. Matter by For King & Country

When you are told that you don't matter, are wasted space and feel so terrible about yourself you can't even look yourself in the mirror, this song is there to remind you that to the savior you MATTER more than anything.

16. One Thing Remains by Jesus Culture

No matter what has happened in your life and in this world, Jesus' love will always remain. This song will give you chills.

17. Write Your Story by Francesca Battistelli

For me, this song represents that point after the doubt and the struggles when you say I trust in God and his plan for my life and I'm going to let him write his story through me and my actions.

I listen to these songs constantly, and so should you!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."
