Songs You Shouldn't Forget To Put On Your Party Playlist

We all love a good party playlist, and there's a real science behind curating the best one. You could go for one of the already made ones on Spotify or Apple Music, but it may not be catered to your music tastes. Here are some throwbacks, some good dancing music, and some great sing-a-long songs you shouldn't forget.

1. "Milkshake" by Kelis

First of all, this may be the best, girliest sing-a-long song of all time. "My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard." Absolute classic. Definitely, don't forget this one.

2. "In Da Club" by 50 Cent

Seriously, a club favorite. The beats behind it and the essence of your childhood will hit you on the dance floor like a brick wall. Dance your booty off, people. You won't wanna be left without this song on your playlist.

3. "Pop That" by French Montana

Work, work, work. This is one of my personal favorites. With features from Drake, Rick Ross and Lil Wayne this one is an easy one to "pop that" to. Although the language could get quite risqué, just dance away and you won't even know the difference. The beat is fantastic and the flow of the raps is just on point.

4. "Wannabe" by Spice Girls

Whether it's a GNO or a GNI, this song is a throwback classic. You can honestly look at your BFF and sing all the parts while sippin' on whatever fruity drink of your preference. Sing along to this golden classic without feeling an ounce of guilt that you know every word.

5. "I Feel It Coming" by The Weeknd

A chill relevant song. Everyone loves the beat behind the Weeknd and the amazing lyrics. Any song by the Weeknd will be a party hit no matter where you are or what you're doing.

6. "GDFR" by Flo Rida

A party hit that came out in 2015 is still fun and a dance favorite in 2017. The beat behind it is easy to dance to and twerk to. Don't have a party without this or you'll just be sad.

7. "24K Magic" by Bruno Mars

"Players, put yo' pinky rings up to the moon!" is guaranteed to have your drink sloshed all over you and everyone near you when you raise it to the sky so quickly. This is a fun and carefree song that can get anyone hype without it being rap music. It's just too easy not to love this song.

8. "Pay My Rent" by DNCE

Joe Jonas with this catchy sing-a-long with an upbeat start, and well finish. This one may not be as well known as the rest, but by the end of your party you'll have everyone addicted to this.

Whether it's for your best friend's birthday party or a night in with friends, this playlist is going to rock everyone's socks off. It has a mix of throwback tunes and booty poppin' jams.

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
