The 2000's were a musical era that many cannot forget, but then again, why would you even want to try?

Music of the 2000's brings listeners an eclectic taste of nostalgic feels, good vibes, and pure happiness. For many of us, the music of those early years paved the way for our very mature existence.

In the first decade of the 21st century, nothing was off-limits. It was the age of scandalous Pop music, rhymin' Hip-Hop and jammin' R&B, spiky Punk-Rock, and plenty of hit songs. So many of the hit songs that came out during this decade have stood the test of time and are still popular today.

In no particular order, here are 10 of my favorite R&B/Hip-Hop 00’s throwbacks. (You can thank me later).

P.S. let’s not pretend you won’t belt out these legendary tracks.

Drumroll, please…

1. Kanye West - “Through the Wire”

West recorded this song with his mouth wired shut so the world could feel his pain. I miss the old Kanye straight from the Go Kanye. Fresh old but gold. We salute you Yeezy.

Honorable mentions: All Falls Down, Hey Mama, Gold Digger

2. Mario - “Let Me Love You”

Whether you have the vocals or not, this song is definitely a karaoke go-to (shout out to the Sugar Bay crew). And let's be honest, who wouldn't let Mario love them in the early 2000s?

3. Shaggy - “It Wasn’t Me”

A classic to say the least. If you had any idea what the Jamaican man was saying, then you deserve a medal.

Honorable mention: Angel

4. Alicia Keys - “If I Ain’t Got You”

It is only fitting that this old-school track begins with piano keys. This song makes you think deeply about life with Keys’ breathtaking vocals and inspiring aura.

Honorable Mentions: Fallin’, No One

5. TLC - “No Scrubs”

Always a fun car song to sing, "No Scrubs" electrified pop music. TLC never sang as fresh and vibrant as they did on this single.

6. Destiny’s Child - “Say My Name”

Yes, Beyoncé was in a girl group before she became Mrs. Carter. Needless to say, this original mannequin challenge music video should bring back some very sassy memories.

Honorable mentions: Independent Women, Soldier, Survivor, Bills, Bills, Bills, Jumpin’ Jumpin’

7. Nelly ft. Kelly Rowland - “Dilemma”

This Nelly Kelly duo had fans wondering whether or not there was a real dilemma.

Honorable mentions: Hot in Here

8. Eminem - "Lose Yourself"

Featured in his first movie, 8 Mile, Eminem wrote this in character as B. Rabbit, who he played in 8 Mile. Writing in character is nothing new for Eminem, as he has previously written songs as his alter ego, Slim Shady. A true rap masterpiece.

Honorable mentions: The Real Slim Shady, Cleanin' Out My Closet, 'Till I Collapse

9. R. Kelly - "Ignition"

Besides his Celtics jersey, this song gives you the weekend and after-party feels (no matter what day of the week).

Honorable mentions: I Believe I Can Fly, The World's Greatest

10. Usher ft. Lil John & Ludacris - Yeah!

Cue Will Smith teaching his protégé the necessary moves in Hitch. This throwback can make any bad dancer shake his groove thing!

Honorable mentions: You Remind Me, U Got It Bad, Burn, Confessions, My Boo

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
