As I lounged on my five-hour flight to California, I couldn't help but scroll through my new Discover Weekly playlist. Alternative, pop, and even rap emerged as a multitude of new tunes; however, by the time I stepped off the plane, I was already jamming to seven new songs on repeat.

1. "Sweet Little Lies" by Bulow

Crystalline's new coverPaul Jackson Artist on Facebook

A little grungy, a little pop with a twist of dark, this song will bring out all your feelings of nostalgia, sadness, and resistance. Don't be surprised to get hooked on her entire new album, Crystalline.

2. "yes and no" by XYLO

Dysfunctional, unproductive, and indecisive? This is the song for you. With a little sprinkle of Billie Eilish style, XYLO brings a fabulous beat with well written lyrics to create a song worthy of another repeat.

3. "Find U Again" by Mark Ronson ft. Camila Cabello

To the heartbroken, discover your true feelings with the beat of Ronson and astounding vocals of Cabello. Don't fret if you're a ball of tears or a sucker for revenge at the end of the song.

4. "Gogobebe" by Mamamoo

MamamooMoonSUn FTW on Facebook

Need another K-pop mix? This song will surely bring the party to you, whether you're in the car, the shower, or simply dancing in your PJs.

5. "it's not u it's me" by Bea Miller

Get ready for the ultimate dystopian sci-fi vibe with Bea Miller's new song. Complete with space buns and planetary stars, she delivers a thundering beat with a small taste of rap. Beware, you don't break the repeat button.

6. "New Friends" by Maty Noyes

A relatively new artist, she delivers a strong performance that some of you may find relatable. This song leans away from the alternative genre and into the pop era.

7. "Heaven Can Wait" by LSD

LSD collab album Not The Normies on Facebook

Time is running out. Discover this masterpiece crafted by legends themselves. Written with the collab album LSD, this song is featured among a number of electronic, pop, and rap songs that may become the album of the century. No words left, enjoy.

Happy jamming!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
