9 Songs/Artist That Deserve More Hype In The Music Industry

In This Article:

I feel like since all of this COVID-19 started, lots of music artists have been releasing new music that I am totally here for! Even though big-name artists like Kane Brown, John Legend, Morgan Wallen, or Sam Hunt have been releasing new songs in April and hinting at new albums, there are many YouTubers and social stars that do music on the side and lately they have been putting in the work! I've had these songs on repeat for a while now!

'Me Time' by Erika Costell

Erika Costell is known for modeling and YouTube, but she's recently been focusing more on her music and even started a music label in 2019. This song is all about a girl that needs to pour more time and energy into herself.

'Great One' by Jessie Reyez

I first heard this song on the movie 'Someone Great' that's on Netflix. It's been on my playlist ever since. The title pretty much explains it, she wants to be great!

'Relationship' by Anthony Ramos

This is honestly just a good bop and it's super catchy. YouTube star Liza Koshy is even in the music video.

'Breakfast In The Park' by Scotty Sire

Many people know Scotty from YouTube and being a part of the Vlog Squad, but he's been creating music for years now. I think recently going through a breakup was his inspiration for this song. It's a must listen!

'Men Are Trash' by Scotty Sire

The song title says enough...

'Jealous' by Lennon Stella

You might know Lennon Stella from the TV show 'Nashville' that aired on CMT. Her voice is just so beautiful and her music really relates to my generation.

'Fear of Being Alone' by Lennon Stella

'Jealous' and 'Fear of Being Alone' are both a part of Lennon's new album that is releasing on April 24th.

'This Could Be Love' by Violet Skies

This song came out in 2019 and I just found out about it the other day. I feel like more people need to hear it, it's amazing!

'without you' by Tana Mongeau

If you don't know who Tana Mongeus is and you're in your 20's, you're doing something wrong. She's known for her hectic YouTube videos and marrying Jake Paul. She's dabbled with music in the past, but this is definitely her best song yet!

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.
