12 Songs To Listen To When You're In Your Feels

These songs aren't meant to only make you cry, but to make you smile, feel nostalgic, dance, etc. Songs for every mood.

1. When you're in love and thinking about that chick (or dude):

She's Got You High- Mumm-ra.

She's got you high, and you don't even know yet.

2. When you're feeling angsty about all the awful political/social things happening in the world:

Hands Held High- Linkin Park

It's ironic, at times like this you pray/ But a bomb blew the mosque up yesterday

3. When you're feeling normal teenage angst:

Misery Business- Paramore

And about forgiveness, we're both supposed to have exchanged, / I'm sorry honey, but I passed it up, now look this way.

4. When growing up is hard:

Stop this Train- John Mayer

Stop this train/ I want to get off and go home again/ I can't take the speed it's moving

5. When you need a reminder that you're great:

Who Says- Selena Gomez (But Perfect by P!nk was a close second. I recommend you listen to both)

You made me insecure,Told me I wasn’t good enough./ But who are you to judge when you’re a diamond in the rough?

6. When you're in that weird in-between of "friends" and "more than friends":

Friends- Ed Sheeran

Friends just sleep in another bed, And friends don't treat me like you do./ Well I know that there's a limit to everything, But my friends won't love me like you.

7. When you need a song to listen to with the windows down:

There Goes the Fear- Doves

Think of me when you're coming down/ But don't look back when leaving town

8. When you need a good dance song:

Best Song Ever- One Direction

And I know, you know, I hope you'll remember how we danced how we danced

9. When you're going through a breakup:

Who other than Taylor Swift?

Taylor Swift- Forever and Always

I hold onto the night, / You looked me in the eye and told me you loved me/ Were you just kidding?/ 'Cause it seems to me, this thing is breaking down

10. When you're conflicted about your friendship/relationship:

All at Once- The Fray

There are certain people you just keep coming back to/ She is right in front of you/ You begin to wonder could you find a better one/ Compared to her, now she's in question

11. When you're uncertain about your purpose/ wondering if you belong/ in a sucky situation:

Temporary Home- Carrie Unerwood

This is just a stop, on the way to where I'm going/ I'm not afraid because I know this is my Temporary home

and finally, in my opinion, the most important:

12. When you need a reminder that you're never alone:

On the Way Home- John Mayer

But just remember on the way home/ That you were never meant to feel alone

Happy listening!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
