7 Songs Kidz Bop Covered (But Shouldn't Have)

Kidz Bop has been around for as long as I can remember, and now that they are on their 31st album, I thought it was about time to review some of the best (worst) songs they covered.

Note: I am sorry if this offends any Kidz Bop fans.

1. "Love Me Like You Do"

When I first heard that they were singing "Love Me Like You Do", I was absolutely terrified. The Ellie Golding hit that was featured in Fifty Shades of Grey was a song I never thought the young singers of Kidz Bop would ever cover. Oh, but I was wrong.

2. "My Immortal"

Back in 2004, I probably thought Kidz Bop covering this song was completely normal. Looking back, I can't listen to this whole song without feeling overwhelmingly uncomfortable. Why did these kids have so much teenage angst?

3. "Thrift Shop"

There are no words to describe this song. Within seconds, I was completely speechless. I will leave the link below, click if you dare.

4. "Follow Me"

Why did anyone think it was okay for them to sing this song? Why did they not change the words? Why are actual children singing about having an affair feat. an Uncle Kracker impersonator?

5. "Toxic"

I will admit, it was cute when the artists of Kidz Bop covered "Oops, I did it Again," but when they covered this 2004 Britney Spears hit, it became clear that the Kidz Bop kids could cover any song they set their mind on.

6. "The Frog Song"

I have no idea who thought that this would be a perfect addition to Kidz Bop 9, but for some reason, this track was added at the very end of the album. I urge you not to click on the link, but again, listen at your own risk.

7. "Watch Me"

"You already know who it is," it's Kidz Bop covering another one of your favorite songs to dance to. Now you can safely whip and nae-nae to this song when kids are around. Thank you Kidz Bop!

In conclusion, Kidz Bop has provided us with years of entertainment by covering some of our favorite songs. What are your favorite (or least favorite) Kidz Bop songs?

Are you offended by any of them, or do you think they are all family friendly? Did you audition for Kidz Bop when you were eleven like I did, and just not make the cut?

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
