Hold Up On Christmas Music Y'all, Try These 10 Thanksgiving Songs First

Get your tail feathers shakin'!

Thanksgiving

Don't get me wrong, I love Christmas music as much as the next person but...what about Thanksgiving?!

Yeah, it's kind of that awkward in-between period of trick or treat and deck the halls that everyone forgets about until break starts but it's kinda one of the best days of the year. It's an excuse to eat until you feel like you're gonna burst then eat some more because- pie!

I've tried listening to Christmas music the morning of November 1st but couldn't really get into so I went searching for Thanksgiving music. Let me tell you, the options were slim. Some of the ones I found made me laugh to the point of tears, so I decided to share.

I hope you enjoy listening to these as much as I did, even if they don't make it to your playlist.

1. "Turkey Time!" by Harry Kindergarten Music

Simple and fun! This one is sure to get stuck in your head and get your tail feathers shakin'!

2. "It's Thanksgiving" by Nicole Westbrook

Suuuper cheesy, just like those potatoes! But hey at least it's not "Friday"!

3. "Thanksgiving Song" by Adam Sandler

So maybe Adam Sandler isn't the best singer/song writer but he sure can bring a smile to your face!

4. "Gobble Gobble Turkey Wobble" by Koo Koo Kanga Roo

Another great dancing song, similar to a turkey hokey pokey (which actually does exist but isn't included).

5. "A Turkey Dance" by The Learning Station

Take a break from the Cupid Shuffle and Cha Cha Slide, give the Turkey Dance a try!

6. "Thanksgiving Feast" by The Learning Station

It's to the tune of Frère Jacques, but that doesn't make it any less cute of a Thanksgiving song!

7. "A Thanksgiving Song" by Andrew Lowe

I thought this one was pretty funny and he makes exactly my point of there being no Thanksgiving songs in the very beginning! And those dance moves!

8. "Thankful" by Josh Groban

Alright so definitely more mellow than the others but it makes a great point about thankfulness!

9. "Thankful For You" by TobyMac

TobyMac is the bomb! This tune will for sure have you singing along and being thankful!

10. "The Chicken Dance" by Werner Thomas

Not everyone likes Turkey or can have turkey because of allergies or some other reason so here's to you guys! Enjoy your chicken or whatever you may be eating Thanksgiving night!

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."

Find excitement in your life and start exploring wherever you are right here, right now.

I was sitting at my cubicle, now that I am an adult, looking at the rain pouring down on the windowsill, bumming on life, wishing for the rain to just stop for a full day.

There are moments where we count down the hours until work is over and how many more days till the weekend, and this many weeks until something exciting. Or something like that? Well, I was bumming because my next day off from work is not until Memorial Day weekend, which is not until the end of May. And since this is my first year out of college being a “real person,” I am totally missing the winter, spring and summer breaks. I am sure all of us have felt this way even if just for a hot minute…

If you go to or went to Kent State, then more than likely you have done or will do some of these things.

1. You’ve slipped and fallen on the ice at least once.

The winters at Kent are brutal, and while the heated sidewalks and some great snow boots are always a help, there’s no chance you won’t bust it on the ice at least once in your four plus years at school.
