If you know me, you know i listen to a LOT OF MUSIC, and I just want to share the great stuff I’ve been listening to

1. Again-Kehlani

This song is an acoustic love song about having that one person that as much as you don't want to go back to them but you feel so much for them that you just can't help but drift towards them.

2. Fake Love-FV

An amazing song made by some friends of mine is filled will all sorts of vibes that I love to surround myself with and I think you might too! This song is hands down one of my favorite songs just in general because of how much emotion is felt in it.

3. Rose-Colored Boy-Paramore

Behind the peppy melody this song has some pessimistic undertones, stating that not all of us can be positive all the time and see life through Rose-colored glasses.

4. 9-Willow ft SZA

If you need a song to perfectly describe being with someone just so different than you but you still feel for them, this is your song.

5. TRIP-BROCKHAMPTON

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1v_vYl4Rfb0

Trip starts off with “Today I’ma be whoever I wanna be”, then talks about being themselves to them is like a fantasy. The melody while easy to listen to and sounding optimistic, the lyrics add that sense of reality and negativity.

6. Black Butterflies & Deja Vu- The Maine

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wHm2bQRJIaw

Black Butterflies & Deja Vu is a song that I just can’t explain the love I have for it. This song is by my favorite band off of their newest album “Lovely Little Lonely” and I HIGHLY recommend listening to it. (If you know, you know)

7. TANTRUM-Waterparks

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvAFhjzdcgc

Tantrum starts off with a (what sounds like Siri?) voice saying “F*** these f***boy bands that can’t think for themselves.” The tone of the whole song is just pure angst. I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t my favorite song off this new album that Waterparks put out.

8. Best Part- Daniel Caesar

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jbp5mb6AUU

Recently I found out about Daniel Caesar thanks to my AMAZING friend Kaitlynn. Off his new album Freudian “Best Part” says “If life is a movie, you’re the best part” which just makes me feel so warm inside

9. Games-Demi Lovato

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3QnN553z8-M

Games is a song all about being empowered towards someone who couldn't care less about your emotions. This song basically says “if you’re going to treat me like this, I’ll give it right back to you.” (This song live was a whole new experience that made me love it even more)

10. Colour Morning- Night Riots

Night riots are a band that I found through The Maine (reference to number 6) because they were going on tour and Night Riots were one of the opening bands going on tour with them. In this song I feel nostalgia and euphoria, like I want to listen to this song when I’m driving with the windows down.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
