This is especially true as a freshman, being that everything you experience is for the first time. But that's not the case. Someone else has felt what you felt at one point in time.

Music is the perfect way to handle these emotions that are sometimes hard to put into to words. Here is a list of songs that is the perfect soundtrack to your life at college.

You have definitely experienced the time when your dancing with your friends and a boy won't leave you alone. Not only is it annoying, but extremely frustrating."Take a Hint" perfectly puts these emotions straight into a song.

" You think that we should hook up, but I think that we should not"

2. “Ciao Adios” - Anne-Marie

Dealing with boys never gets any easier. This song encompasses those feelings when you feel stupid after investing time into a guy who moves on without you. It especially rings true at college because most people frequent the same parties, thus you have to see him after the fact. Listening to this song, Anne- Marie will empower you to move on to what you deserve.

"I'm onto you, yeah you I'm not your number one. I saw you, with her kissing and having fun."

3. “Party All Night” - Sean Kingston

There is nothing like hanging out with all your friends and dancing it out, not having to worry about tomorrow. "Party All Night" is the perfect party anthem that describes your carefree weekend.

"We like to sleep all day and party all night. This is how we like to live our life"

4. “True Friend”- Hannah Montana

The friendships you build in college are different than any other relationships you will have in life. In college, you face new experiences and your friends are the ones who are with you throughout it all. Because you are with your friends 24/7, they know you inside and out. These relationships are described perfectly in Hannah Montana's iconic "True Friend". She describes a friendship that is accepting and overcomes all, just like the friendships you will make in college.

"You're a true friend. You're here 'til the end."

5. “Hall of Fame” - The Script

College is full of so many people and is so big. Sometimes it's hard to find the courage to try new things. Whether it be reaching out to different friends or joining a new club, these can be intimidating feats. However, even though it seems hard, getting involved in different activities and hanging out with a new group will lead to positive outcomes. "Hall of Fame" will inspire you to try your best and go out of your comfort zone.

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
