What better way to start off 2019 than with a super great playlist to jam to throughout your daily activities?

Here are 14 tracks to get you started. Happy listening!

1. "Saturday Nights"  by Khalid

YouTube

I've definitely have listened to this track way too much, but it still gets me every single time. I'm telling you, put this track on while you are driving late at night under the street lights and it is one hell of a vibe.

2. "Sexual Vibe" by Stephen Puth

YouTube

From the first listen, Puth's soulful voice pulls you in instantly and when it really gets going you can't help but jam along. Honestly, you can't sit still while listening to the track — give it a try.

3. "I Like America & America Likes Me" by The 1975

YouTube

I'm not kidding, this song is addicting. The beat is sick, the lyrics are great and its an overall bop.

4. "Lie To Me" by 5 Seconds of Summer (Feat. Julia Michaels)

YouTube

This was one of my favorite tracks off of 5SOS's album, "Youngblood" that they released this past year and still is. The band recently released a new version of the song featuring Julia Michaels which is flame. Such a cool collab.

5. "I Don't Care" by LANY

YouTube

This is one of the slower tracks on this list, but don't sleep on it because its a goodie. I'm not kidding, it slaps.

6. "Freaking Out" by ARIZONA

YouTube

Not only is this song relatable as heck being that we all "freak out" and overthink so many things, but it is such a bop.

7. "Quarter Life Crisis" by Judah & The Lion

YouTube

Judah & The Lion always give us the pump up jams, but this one might just top them all.

8. "Narcissist" by No Rome (Feat. The 1975)

YouTube

You can listen to this one over and over again and never get tired of it. I'm not kidding. It's a banger.

9. "when the party's over" by Billie Eilish

YouTube

Another slow song on the list, but I mean you always need a good track to play that puts you right in the feels.

10.  "Sunflower" by Post Malone and Swae Lee

YouTube

I can't say that I was surprised that Post Malone released another jam, but seriously it's a jam so if you haven't heard it yet you should get on that.

11. "Week" by 7715

YouTube

I vibe to this track so hard and I know you will, too.

12. "Grip" by Seeb and Bastille

YouTube

The lyrics in this song are a solid 10/10. The track as a whole is not the same as the old original Bastille version, but it still is a good listen.

13. "Without You" by Embody

YouTube

"Without You" is a must-have on your 2019 playlist for those drives around town. Another bop you don't want to miss out on.

14. "Love It If We Made It" by The 1975

YouTube

The track is another bop, yet it is also important as it is very socially conscious. It's a song that everybody should and needs to hear.

28 Daily Thoughts of College Students

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
