As a former Directioner, I still like to keep tabs on all the boys and their solo careers. My favorite solo career that stemmed from One Direction so far has been Harry Styles because he really grew out of his bubbly boy band image perfectly. I was excited when he announced his new album "Fine Line" because I enjoyed his first album, "Harry Styles." After listening to all the songs, I decided to rank them from worst to best (please don't fight with me).
Watermelon Sugar
If I'm being honest, I didn't really like "Watermelon Sugar." When the song first came out as a single, I just didn't understand the big hype behind it.
Fine Line
"Fine Line" is the song that I have listened to the least. I've heard it it like once or twice because I'm just not interested in it as much as the other songs.
Treat People With Kindness
I think that "Treat People With Kindness" is almost too upbeat, and I'm just not a fan. It reminds me of a song I would hear in the 1960s. It has a good message behind it, but the song is just too much for me.
Falling
"Falling" is too sad of a song. It's not my go-to on the album because it feels like the Debby Downer song of the album, which isn't a bad thing, but it just isn't for me.
Lights Up
"Lights Up" was the first song to be released as a single, and it was a good song. But I listened to it too much, and I kind of got sick of it.
To Be So Lonely
"To Be So Lonely" is an alright song compared to the others. I felt it when Harry said, "I know I'm just an arrogant son of a b***h who can't admit when he's sorry."
Canyon Moon
"Canyon Moon" is a good folksy song to listen to when you're feeling happy. It's definitely different from the rest of the songs, but in a good way.
She
"She" is definitely the most angsty song from the album. If I were ever crying and screaming at the same time, this song will be my go-to.
Adore You
"Adore You" was the last single to be released before the full album. It was by far my favorite single to be released. The music video is a little odd if you don't understand the reference, but the song makes up for it.
Sunflower, Vol.6
"Sunflower, Vol. 6" is a good song to listen to if you are in a good mood, which is a good break from the slower songs on the album. It's the right kind of upbeat that makes you feel like you are actually standing in a sunflower field.
Golden
"Golden" is a great song to start out the album. The lyrics to the song may seem a little repetitive, but honestly, I like it.
Cherry
"Cherry" is the best song on "Fine Line." It's a good song to listen to when you are driving around at night or something cool like that. The line "I just miss your accent and your friends" hits hard on a different level.
