Sometimes We Need to Go With the Change

Life is full of changes every day. Some are good and some are bad. We don't always see which it is right away but in the end it is clearer. Most people I know don't like change or are afraid of it. I feel that I tend to fall with them on this topic. We like our comfort zone because well, it's comfortable for us. It's what we know and have been living by. The way I see it is when there is huge change in our lives, it's a way of life creating a new chapter. And just like books, sometimes they are meant to be reread over and over. In life we like telling stories about our adventures and taking walks down memory lane. But on the other hand, some books may be historical and tell what has happened good or bad but aren't meant to reread over and over. They can teach us things but we can't live in these, just like we can't live in the past. We can only live in the present. We write and create new stories to go down in our memories and yes that includes new chapters as well. Something I have recently learned to a farther extend is that people come in and out of our lives for a reason. Some stay, and some don't, but that is a part of life. People change and sometimes the ones we used to be very close with we grow apart from. It doesn't mean that we love them any less or didn't have good times with them, but maybe instead it means that our time together is over. It can be very sad but in certain situations it can be good when certain people leave our lives. They say that holding on can be worse than letting go and in some cases this is very true. If someone starts to hurt us and tear us down, we need to step away even if it's not what we want it may be what we need. Someone once told me that we meet so many people between the ages 15 and 25 and so many of these people don't stay in our lives and they are not meant to. Most times the people we meet teach us things that we can utilize in our lives. But the way I see it, we meet new people until the day we die. And if you think about it, there are people that we are close with now that we weren't before and it's a beautiful thing. It kind of plays on the saying "when one door closes, another opens." Just remember that even in the worse of storms, there's almost always a rainbow to follow. And in all of this, I'm not saying change is easy, because for most of us it isn't. But what I am saying is that it is a part of life and it is going to happen so we need to stop fighting it so much and go for the ride because who knows, maybe it could be the best change of your life.

5 Things To Do That Are Better Than Writing A Paper

Don't waste your time trying to write that paper when there are so many more interesting things you could be doing.

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?

I can barely remember back when I was the only child. Most would say it’s because it is extremely difficult to remember things as a toddler but I would say it's because I was bored until my sister came along. My mother always says how important the "sister bond" is and with every year that passes I realize how right she is. Instead of writing a novel about all of the wonderful things there are about having a sister I decided to list a few of them instead.

It is the time of our lives that we are beginning to enter the adult world and most of us, if not all of us, have no idea what we are doing. It's like starting a video game, but skipping the tutorial. We're all just running around aimlessly hoping we accidentally do something right that moves us along the right path. Now that graduation has just happened, or is right around the corner for some of us, it's time to start thinking about how we are going to take care of ourselves once we are on our own.
