The holiday season makes it easy to forget how evil our world can be

There's nothing my words can say to even semi-describe what is currently happening in Aleppo. I feel helpless, I feel nauseous, I feel like I should be there to help; what are we doing for these people? For these HUMANS. Women, children, men, mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, teachers, lovers, hard workers, next door neighbors, doctors, nurses, writers. So many souls who deserve more than what the world is giving them.

Please don't forget these people.Our holiday season is privileged enough to be spent in warm homes with presents and love; this does not mean that we can ignore the atrocities.

Let's do something, let's bring back some humanity to a world that has forgotten how to do so.

Don't forget them.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here.
