So, this is probably one of my favorite shows of all time. No joke. And you should see it. Like right now.
1. The songs are very, very catchy
The amount of times I've listened to the soundtrack since seeing the show is unreal. I almost have every song memorized.
2. It's worth going multiple times
3. It has a great meaning
I’m not going to spoil the whole show. But lets just say there’s ‘the world’s first feminist,’ a rebellious child, how wanting to be famous can get to you, and so much more. Go buy tickets. Now.
4. It's literally the Renaissance
The costumes, the plot, the set. Even there’s two songs about it being the Renaissance. So, if you’re a lover of this time era, this show is for you.5. Shakespeare
The role was originated by Christian Borle. He sheds a new light for 'The Bard.'
6. You will learn how to make an omelette
If you're confused on how to make one, then there's a song to help you out!
7. Dancing eggs
Where else would you find dancing eggs? Yeah. Exactly. No where else.
8. You'll laugh multiple times
Nope! Not giving spoilers. Just get your tickets and see for yourself!
9. Family Friendly
Kids? Grandparents? Aunts? Uncles? Cousins? Well, bring them to the St. James Theatre for some fun and shake it with Shakespeare!
10. It's a musical.... about the worlds first musical
Mind = Blown11. You'll leave feeling happy
"Money well spent. It's gonna be great, gonna great!" No, really. It really is money well spent. I was literally bouncing in my seat because I was that happy to see the show. Yeah, don't learn from me, fam!
12. You have something to tell your friends about
Get them interested. Tell them about it. Tell your neighbors. Because the stage is set for you to have a great time with the cast and crew.13. They make fun of other musicals
There's just so many. And it's the greatest thing ever.14. The costumes are lit
I mean, how can you not love them?!15. There's still two original cast members in
Gerry Vichi (Shylock; above) and Brad Oscar (Nostradamus) are still in.16. "Hard to Be the Bard"
This is the second song in the second act. It shows how Shakespeare struggles with writing. They also made a music video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hnI7yhIWGY)for this songI highly recommend seeing this show. And you can be a loser like me with the soundtrack. I attempt to act out certain parts of songs. It's highly entertaining!
