The 100th episode of "Solid Sounds" has finally arrived, and to commemorate the occasion, I decided it would be good to replicate what I've done in the past as well as bring a special guest on the show with me to really sweeten the deal. The 100th episode will consist of mainly indie pop, and lo-fi music, but I'll make sure to segment the different genres so everything agrees with itself when you listen with headphones.

"Solid Sounds" has been my podcast for the past year and a half now, and it's a cool experience to even have a chance to broadcast it from KXUA in the first place, let alone a hundred of them. Unfortunately, due to a tragic computer crash, I don't have many other archived episodes of "Solid Sounds", or fluid frequencies on reserve to share, but the library will be restored!

There's a lot to be optimistic about for "Solid Sounds" this year: more published content and multiple platforms are in the future means more options for viewers or listeners to tune in. The YouTube channel for the podcast is almost ready, and I've acquainted myself with several talented friends that have experience in music, amateur film production and DJing to add to the production value of the podcast.

Since "Solid Sounds" airs Saturday and not many DJs have been at KXUA this week with no school, here is a preview-list of some featured artists on "Solid Sounds" Episode One-Hundred.

1) KAYIN

2) NAUUDA

3) cat/

4) George Walter

5) Eyes On You

6) steezy prime

7) joan

8) FRAGRANCE.

9) Bellevue Days

10) Vundabar

This list is very far removed from being exhaustive, but hopefully, there's reason to be interested in tuning in now. I'll publish the artist's links to their respective pages and profiles in the SoundCloud podcast's description, and the YouTube video description as well. If you or anyone you know has any song suggestions or artists they'd like to see and hear interviewed, you can email me anytime at spturley@email.uark.edu and I'll get back to you promptly with an answer. Solid Sounds airs every Saturday night on 88.3 FM KXUA in Fayetteville from 10 to 11 PM.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
