The last few decades we have revolutionized how we’re able to use technology. Less homes now have DSL internet and now have wireless internet. No more worries about receiving a call while accessing your DSL. Now because of Samsung, Apple, HTC, and other phone manufacturers we are able to have the internet in our pockets every single day. Accessing the internet is now easier because we can use it almost anywhere we go, so long as we have cellular service. Having internet wherever we go is perfect for those who are constantly receiving emails for work or school, for those who have work to do on the go, or if you just like streaming your favorite songs and television shows from your cellphone. How can be benefit further as people with the internet advancing so quickly?

With the internet being portable, this is an open window for app developers to allow accessibility with their social networks. No more sitting in front of your computer for waiting for your photos to upload to your computer so you can put them on your Facebook and Twitter, you can now do this faster and easier from your cell-phone, tablet, etc. With social media advancing, businesses are jumping on that opportunity as well. Social media can be anything ranging from social networks, blogs, online magazines, etc. Businesses are jumping on those platforms to do something new, find new means of reaching out to the consumers; and that’s social media marketing. Social media marketing allows people to showcase their identity. The social media has also proven to be a new way for people to get their sources of information. You can get the latest news sent directly to your portable devices. This removes the need to sit in front of your television to catch your “local news at 6”. At 6 o’clock you can run some errands, cook a meal, spend time with your family and not have to worry about missing any important news because the news is right there in your pocket or bag.

Studies show that social media marketing is a powerful strategy in promoting a site or business. According to several surveys, about 45 to 90 percent of web users say they bought a good or service because of social media sites recommending they do so. A company’s website is what leads consumers in purchasing their goods or services. Social media is free advertising for any business or upcoming entrepreneurs. It’s also a space to network or connect with other people to exchange ideas or partnerships. The social web is a place for people to improve their condition. Social media sites like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter connects you with all sorts of people, from your favorite celebrities, to your local shops and townspeople, but it also connects you with people all over the world trying to grow in the world to be the next J.K. Rowling or the next Elizabeth Warren. Social media is a safe space for educators, entrepreneurs, innovators to connect with one another to exchange ideas with one another.

With social networking sites like YouTube, Facebook and Twitter allowing any post to go viral, a term used to describe it’s expanded path across cyberspace, it is easy to connect with almost everybody that has access to the internet. Those social networks have its own personal space for your news, your entertainment, and a space just for you. LinkedIn is a social network that allows you to connect with individuals or businesses in order to show your work experience and allows those to see what you have worked on in hopes of being able to connect with you in the future. As of 2015, nearly two-thirds of Americans have smartphones. Of that two-thirds, about 76 percent of those smartphones users use social media. More than half of the country could potentially come across your start-up business or be potential future partners. So social media is an innovative way for people to want to advance up in the world. Using the right tools to better not only better yourself, but also could be used to benefit those around you as well while exchanging ideas and building partnerships is the way it works to becoming a strong individual.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
