Social Media Tracking

Tracking how to grow my social media brand.

Social Media Tracking

I recently took the Teen Vogue/Parsons Fashion Industry Essentials course and have learned the importance of knowing the data on all my social media accounts. Today, the best way to connect with others is through social media. By knowing data I can grow my brand and impact on social media. It's all about growing my social media presence.

Tracking my social media followers or likes on my posts was never something I thought about. I normally just take a picture, I like it, post it. Insert Ariana Grande 7 rings here with a change in the lyrics, I see it, I like it, I want it, I post it.

Anyways, upon taking the Teen Vogue and Parsons Fashion Industry Essentials course I learned that tracking your social media is important. Checking what your followers are responding to is key to building your own personal brand online.

I decided to log into my two main social media accounts, Facebook and Instagram. I started to track what my followers on Instagram were responding to first. I learned that I had the most likes and comments on pictures while I am on vacation whether it be New York City or Walt Disney World. These images are all fun, and colorful, full of excitement, and joy. This made me realize that I should start posting pictures of my fun adventures more often. In regard to where my followers come from, they are mostly from my home town Tampa, FL. I also have a following in Georgia and other followers that come from around the United States and the Dominican Republic.

I looked into my Facebook account next. I looked at my posts and saw that I didn't post much but, at least one post or share a week. My friends on Facebook aren't really responding well to my shares but they are responding to my personal posts. I'm getting the most comments and likes on these posts. Honestly, it makes sense because most of my friends on Facebook are from the Dominican Republic, where my family is from. They like to know what I am doing, it's a way for me to be in contact with them without having to pay the ridiculous amount of money you have to pay when making an out of the country call.

In conclusion, looking at the numbers in my social media accounts has helped me learn more about how to grow my personal brand and presence online. I will definitely be posting more so stay tuned!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
