It's 2018 and we are social media freaks.

On Twitter, I see the news, people's thoughts and opinions being voiced, and memes. I go on Facebook and I see my family from all over the world. I go on Instagram and I see friends, things they are eating, what and who they are wearing and places they travel to. I go on snapchat and I see people from the media industry as well. We listen, hear and see everything by a click of a button. We are involved with our family, our community, and even our government all at once. We are truer online than we are in person because there is no one to stop us. Social media has become a place of debate with or without even wanting too. A personal opinion posted on either Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram turns into an argument in just seconds. Networking with others all around the world and interacting with people with similar interests because it either makes us feel good about ourselves or for other motives. Even fake news is out there for us to voice our opinions about.

Communication Is Key

Social media today has changed our way of communicating. We are now communicating by text, post or even just a meme/gif. We develop feelings differently than our grandparents or even our parents. Being able to communicate to people in person is now a skill when it was a norm back then. It has become a skill that is not really used now but is still needed because we are not perfect humans and some people are actually good at interacting in person, while networking or both. Emotions and opinions are rarely shown now and days but are posted and liked or retweeted. The fact that we are sharing ideas every second is incredibly astonishing and skyrocketing every other day. People get to think by themselves and change other people's opinions by socializing and discussing topics.

People talk about all sorts of things that make us acknowledge and become wiser in a way because we are more involved with recent political, medical, or sports topics. We are able to also learn in a click of a button. We have minor evolutions in our way of thinking by minutes of having, listening or hearing a debate online. There are movements on social media that also let us interact with the world. Is this amazing or what? We have become a society where we are dependent on media to be able to connect with others which is remarkable but somewhat horrifying.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
