Society is a complex thing. Learning how people are going to react to different actions takes a great deal of time and patience. People are tied to one another through all kinds of experiences and struggles. It is said that humans need socialization to survive. Technology has supposedly advanced the ease of socialization signifigantly. This assumption can easily be supported by quick judgements. After all, all it takes is a couple of presses of a buttons on a phone and computer to communicate with practically anyone in the world. However, with how many of the people In the world can one communicate with freely, honestly, and emotionally? The answer to this question is normally thought to be very few. As a result I draw the conclusion that advancements in technology and connection through a phone does not nurture the development of society as a whole. I personally believe that while social media does help to grow a brand it does not help me advance relationships in real life. Most of the people that interact with my online accounts are people that I used to spend time with or that I would never talk to on a daily basis otherwise. The main argument I could see for media helping to create a society is keeping people informed on events happening around the world. In my personal life I have stopped sharing information openly on social media because I now believe if people cared to find something out about me they would ask me directly. I still use social media for the purposes on gaining knowledge on my peers lives but I typically do not react to the content they put out.
